self conscious about appearing feminine = gay and it hides fat/weak chins. any self respecting male clean shaves now simply to differentiate and show confidence.
I am not OP, but I have been in a dilemma lately.
I am 20, have never been able to grow a full beard but I kept a goatee like pec rel (not me btw)
But very recently, like two weeks ago, I shaved for the first time in my life. I have always had good skin and am on the paler side. I have gotten a lot of comments from friends and even had a girl who I travel with everyday change her seat from beside me to sit in front of me after she found out that I had shaved. I questioned her on it, and she said that she just wanted to see my face properly and complimented my facial features. I’ve also gotten some weird stares and a couple of friends have called me gay or crack jokes about my feminine face. I also do think that after getting rid of the hair above my lips it has made them appear more attention caching and larger. Shaving also made my cheeks a little hollower seeming and the lines running vertically alongside my lips more present. What should I do?
That beard is terrible. If yours is anything like that, you should keep your face shaved. I have no idea why any guy would comment that you look gay because your face is shaved unless you have long hair or are wearing makeup or something. DtNSAA
>shaves head because baldness
omg he’s so insecure, just let it grow and stop being self conscious >doesn’t shave beard
stop being self conscious about appearing feminine
So jealous of you lucky hairless gene having guys. All I ever wanted was to be a cute twink and I was cursed with le epic beard genes. Got thick, bushy, coarse dark facial hair, stache connection, can’t shave without a permanent grayish blue tinge to my face. Hurts bros
Cope, laziness, and because they do suit some faces.
>meant
There is no ‘meant’ anon. These characteristics are simply mutations that stuck either because they served a role in reproduction and were selected for, or they didn’t hinder reproduction and stuck around despite not offering any real advantages -like your ass hair.
Why would I constantly shave any part of my body?
Utility and appearance (what board do you think you’re on exactly?). With a clean shave you can kiss girls, do sex stuff, and not have to worry about everything you eat and drink leaving remnants in your face fur. If one has an attractive face, this allows them to showcase it. A clean-shaven face is also easier to clean and do skincare bs to. The only utility one gains in having a beard is they save the time they would have spent shaving it and maybe (though not in your case) the beard looks aesthetically pleasing and helps accentuate the better features of their face.
>not offering any real advantages -like your ass hair
ass hair muffles fart sounds, holds on to manly musky pheromones to attract homosexual males and heterosexual females, prevents chafing, and is stylish
Because it’s the standard. Men have beards, this only changed in WWI because soldiers needed to shave to wear gas masks (and obviously other times through history for various reasons, Alexander’s army most famously. But men having facial hair has still been the standard.) It’s also easier to do than shaving constantly if you grow fast, secondary sexual characteristic,
As a teen, it was out of laziness. As an adult, it’s because I like it. Please though, wash your beard when you shower. Some guys think they don’t have to wash their beards at all and it can really look disgusting.
some do it to hide lack of chin/jaw
for most of my life, i kept my facial hair at the clean shaven/5 o’clock shadow range, but several people have told me i look good with a beard, so i grew it out.
i don’t have a weak chin/jaw or a fat face – i might just shave it again once the novelty of having a big beard wears off

They really don’t though, shaven is much more common.
>being a contrarian for the sake of it shows confidence

This, I’m a hairy motherhecker so I might as well lean in and go for viking vibes
Idk, I have a mustache because it’s the only based option, anything else is cringe
>have a mustache because it’s the only based option
how so
Because modern men are so insecure.
I rock a beard because I am ugly (I look like a mix of Chris Martin and Mark Zuckerberg).
Easier to maintain than clean shaven. Especially when you have thick hair like the dude in your pic.
it just grow on your face op, maybe you have hormone problems if you don’t have facial hair.
More bothersome to make an effort to shave every couple days than to just leave what nature gave you
so basically you’re all too lazy to shave
Men are clearly meant to have a beard, its sexual dimorphism, stop being such a tranny
shave
Fag

Why would I constantly shave any part of my body?
because you’re not an ape
Humans are literally apes
apes that shave, do it
What purpose does shaving do other than line the pockets of Procter and Gamble? Think for yourself silly little ape
Naturalistic fallacy.
it’s cold outside
