The point was never "gender dysphoria doesn't exist," the point was that "gender dysphoria being a medicalized and tangibly defined term gives too much power to cis doctors/politicians/people in general to define trans people out of existence." Modern research directly proves that biochemical and secondary sex characteristic dysphoria exist and are meaningfully treated by cross-sex HRT completely apart from whether that trans person has bottom dysphoria and needs that kind of gender affirming care as well.
Toob is wrong that you don't need gender dysphoria to be trans, but 99% of trans medicalists fail to recognize that the real problem is that most people trying to figure out their gender identities and/or early in transition absolutely suck at identifying their own dysphoria.
