Just a thought. I don't claim Ramones are truly dangerous, I'm saying it's the grimy junky backdrop of New York with a risk of artsy fartsy homosexualry.
Or, put a slightly different way: Misfits are Ramones for jocks.
Jocks? Not in my perspective. Edgelords? Definitely. Although, I know "jocks" is sort of a blanket insult to certain portions of punk and alternative aligned people and not literally referring to jocks, but more any people with a generalized "macho" attitude, but even still I would have to say Misfits, definitely not a "jock" band in my opinion, their appeal is too niche with horror and science fiction themes......to an actual true blue jock, this is nerd/weirdo shit, jocks aren't into niche things or anything that would make them seem like a "freak".
Honestly when I think of punk for jocks, 90s-00s pop punk seems like the only thing that those kind of people would actually listen to. Maybe some of that toughguy hardcore bullshit, but even that, I feel like most people who listen to it are more like weirdos posing as jocks who started a body builder obsession because they got picked on and are now overcompensating, not because they were the popular jock type.
I went through a true crime phase a few years ago and found at least three cases where the murderer was wearing a Misfits t-shirt during the crime. So I guess there are lots of violent criminals out there
It led to Danzig's solo career existing at least
The t-shirts
because it's good?
cool aesthetic
they are one of the only decent punk bands
This guy may have something to do with it.
>Graves is one of the well known conservative punks
>Drummer during that Misfits era was named Dr. Chad
Can't make this shit up.
Because there are only 3 or 4 good punk bands and they're one of them.
I like Danzig era Misfits
I think it's a boomer thing you had to be there for
Melody=good
Danzig sounds like a bizzaro version of Elvis. Perhaps it's no coincidence that he died in 1977 and the Misfits came to be shortly after
The safe choice for people who are scared of New Yoik
Oh come on, Ramones rule but let's not pretend they are in any way edgier than Misfits to like. How many kids movies has Blitzkrieg Bop been in.

The insemination of little girls in the middle of wet dreams
I like it because they have a jacked guitarist and being LULZ is my personality
