Most of these places have 1 grocery store for the whole village. Nobody goes there to shop though, because it's overpriced.
Hungarians are like Americans, they literally drive everywhere even if just popping down to that one store for 2 heads of garlic.

austrian-saxons built your villages and cities and then you kicked them out. And while you were busy doing that, the Russians came and raped you both. So nowadays the "architecture" of Hungarians is simply put communist/brutalism with nostalgia towards a past royal golden age that never existed and if existed, the royal aspect of it was Austrian in nature.

People of Sochi are kind of snobbish, it's been overpriced for at least a decade and Black sea is kind of lame no matter where. Unfortunately Crimea hasn't had that many decent houses built, having languished under hohols for so long. Construction material prices are ~1/5 higher than on the mainland too and I forgot to inquire about delivery times. Probably a hassle to build there if in a hurry.

For that you need Jesus Christ, those blessings are just a result of hard work and determination, but they're not necessarily going to bring you happiness, nothing is besides God, otherwise you'll always search for the next best thing that'll never come to fill the void

is it worth it to save up your money and go back to hungary/live comfortable with that money? here in america we could save up $20000 and go live in the dominican republic very comfortable with a beach side condo for $500-600 a month. A lot of people do that to retire with their pensions/social security/disability money from the government

Groceries are priced the same. If you go to Costco and buy bulk it would be cheaper in the US. If you don't buy bulk, the US is more expensive. There are some products that are really hard to come by in retail chains, like beef and steaks.

              > like beef and steaks.
it's no different here bro. Unless you go to local farmers, it's typically not even worth buying a steak from a store. If you pay for a ribeye/strip from sam's club $11-15/per steak, and it's tough as shit and just meh all around, you regret even spending the money. It's unironically better to get a hunter's license and hunt deer

Basically there isn't for us either, it's all cloned and garbage meat. The difference there is none if there's the illusion or there's simply no choice. I actually fell for the meme and bought land & a dacha in rural Siberia back in 2019. In my experience people do upkeep at bare minimum effort because they just don't like to work. It's the NEET life manifest into a whole village. Retired Soviet boomers are also probably more entitled than western boomers because they got everything for free and expect gov to solve all the problems. My neighbors are millennial neets, both of them do short-term winter labor contracts in Irkutsk and then just live off that money for 2-3 years. What you don't see from street pics of these villages is the 500Mbps internet and computer set ups they have inside. My place has fiber but no indoor plumbing

Honestly I dont give a flying fuck what a place looks like. Its the quality of the people living there that matters. Here's my tick list:
Do they mind their own business yet can be counted on to help out in an emergency?
Are they moral and honest people who wouldn't steal or try to rip you off?
Are they generally quiet and respect your privacy and peace?
Are they generally friendly and helpful without being intrusive?
Do they have pride in their ethnicity, value family, education, and reject woke bullshit?
Are they at least moderately intelligent and not just ignorant superstitious peasants?
Tick all of the above and I would rather live in leaky tin shack with dirt roads.
And yeah, I know I would have good luck finding all of those in one place. Some places in NZ and Australia are still like that, but they are fast vanishing and besides land and house prices have just become insane.
