because they can't cope with the sudden realization that they don't matter. so they lie to themselves constantly with the illusion that by saying "hi" (making yourself known or forcing someone to reply "hello" back) is a means to make them matter. which is not the case. but many choose to do that instead of being complacent with the fact that they don't matter. like many follow the bible.

When they greet back it is.
And you won't know which is which until you do.

        >forcing a greeting onto them
Being friendly and saying hello is now "forcing a greeting".
Millennials/zoomers need to be purged. They are all broken. They should all volunteer for Ukraine.

I wish I talked to more people, I keep a lot of people at arms length at work and I feel guilty about it. I tell myself it's to save energy but I think it's because I'm afraid of getting caught up in other peoples lives. I secretly crave to party and hang out in the real world with people but there's some mental blockage that causes me to dread anything that coould lead to that

I recently had this 60+ boomer roastie accost me in my apartment stairs and complain to me that I don't greet her and that she demands that I say good morning to her, the level of entitlement is genuinely insane.

She tried the same thing a week later and I literally told her I don't owe her anything and that by demanding something from me she won't receive shit, at least say good morning first if you want me to reciprocate. After the second encounter I decided to treat her exactly like my similarly aged female counterparts, as in with complete disdain and contempt whilst also greeting her equally old female boomer neighbours that are actually nice to spark jealousy.

Wow you demonstrated to a boomer you have no social skills, you sure showed her big guy. All zoomers and millennials should be shot
