Because they're coom-brained homosexuals.
it's just hot, that's all
>Hendrik Christian Andersen (17 April 1872 in Bergen – 19 December 1940 in Rome) was a Norwegian-American sculptor, painter and urban planner.
Not german you dumb Black person.
I don't say that. However, David and Jonathan's relationship is sus, as is Gilgamesh and Enkidu, and Achilles and Patroclus.
>David and Jonathan's relationship is sus
Not really
“How the mighty have fallen in battle!
Jonathan lies slain on your heights.
26 I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother;
you were very dear to me.
Your love for me was wonderful,
more wonderful than that of women.
2nd Samuel 1
It's at the very least a very intimate bro-mance (no homo)
>David, before you strike the lyre against my chest, pls say no homo
I think they use the word "aheb" in the original text which doesn't specify what type of love it's,General interpretation of their relationship is just that between brothers there could be a hint of homoeroticism but i don't know about that.
My hebrew is rusty, but I translated this passage for my hebrew class in college years back:
נִפְלְאַתָה אַהֲבָתְךָ לִי, מֵאַהֲבַת נָשִׁים
literal translation by me: wonderful is your love to me, greater than the love of women.
The same word, אוהב, (ohev) is used for the love of Jonathan and that of a woman. In context it's clearly comparing Jonathan's love to romantic love with a woman.
I won't claim that this passage is a slam dunk that they were lovers, but it's a real possibility.
>David, before you strike the lyre against my chest, pls say no homo
kek
>Gilgamesh and Enkidu
>sus
You've never had a friend
Gilgamesh wrestles Enkidu to the ground and then embraces him.
Gilgamesh gets his wiener sucked off by Ekidu then they high five.
Because it's their culture and they want to interpret it in a way that they enjoy.
>Why are these muscular, naked men groping each other seen as kinda gay
Geez, anon. Idk.
>They wrestled for an entire night
Kinda hot tbh
It's a mystery.
How do you know about such statues? Seems kind of sus. I've never seen them in my life but then again I don't hang out at the museum of gay art.
When you're gay, or a woman, you simply cannot understand the absolute disgust normal men feel for homosexuality. Some of them understand from experience, but it doesn't come to them naturally, or they may simply not want to accept it. To them, men lusting for each other is like a generally available, though less attractive option. Imagine a woman, any woman - she may be more or less attractive to you, but in principle she is a potential mate. And if you happened to have a deep friendship to a woman, displaying your affection and comradeship etc. people will wonder if there's romantic attraction there, even if she is outwardly less attractive or somehow unfitting. That's the same reason those people cannot see close male relationships without imagining a gay component there. Since normal men explaining their real feelings towards male homosexuality - disgust and repulsion, no matter how close the friendship - would basically be considered homophobia now, they don't do it, so these views are rarely challenged either.
This.
>salivary glands

What?
I have bad news for you.
>jacob wrestling with the angel
>the angel
He wrestled with God
