No, I mean why did he rename it X? Twitter already had a name with worldwide global brand recognition. This board is the original X. He stole the name. It would be like me buying Redditt and renaming Misc.

        My thoughts went to:
        http://www.whale.to/b/x_h.html

        >" Nimrod, who was born on December 25th, the High Sabbath of Babylon, was the founder of Babylon and the city of Nineveh. In the history of mankind, Nimrod stands unequaled for his symbolism of evil and Satanic practices. In the history of mankind, Nimrod stands unequalled for his symbolism of evil and Satanic practices. He is credited for having founded Freemasonry and for building the legendary Tower of Babel, in defiance of God's will. In talmudic literature, he is noted as "he who made all the people rebel against God." Pes. 94b. The legend of the Midrash recounts that when Nimrod was informed of Abraham's birth, he ordered all the male children killed, to be certain of eliminating him. Abraham was hidden in a cave, but in latter life he was discovered by Nimrod, who then ordered him to worship fire. Abraham refused and was thrown into the fire."

        >The legendary symbol for Nimrod is "X." The use of this symbol always denotes witchcraft. When "X" is used as a shortened form meaning Christmas, it actually means "to celebrate the feast of Nimrod." A double X, which has always meant to double-cross or betray, in its fundamental meaning indicates one's betrayal into the hands of Satan. When American corporations use the "X" in their logo, such as "Exxon," the historic Rockefeller firm of Standard Oil of New Jersey, there can be little doubt of this hidden meaning.

        >The importance of Nimrod in any study of the occult cannot be over-emphasized. Because of the powers given him by the clothing of Adam and Eve, Nimrod became the first man to rule the whole world. He indulged that power by launching excesses and horrors which have never been equalled.

From Eustace Mullins' "Curse of Canaan". Can't vouch for historical accuracy but years back I'd taken note of the X thing. /x/, Xbox, X, etc.

Why? Because when he founded paypal. He tried calling it X. Shareholders told him haha fuck that. And thus paypal was the name. Since then in the early 1990s he trademarked and secured the X name.

Paypal booms and he uses the money to branch out. Successfully creates more companies. Tries the X name again. Once again shareholders laugh and go no. The closest he gets is space X(exploration) was his reasoning he gave investors.
The idea was sold. He still was not satisfied as its not X. Proceeds to have a kid. Names them with a name starting with X. Still not satisfied.

He cant convince shareholders to start up any company with the name, so. His plan of action? Buy out a company, be the majority shareholder and legally change its name. Why twitter? World renowned platform with a userbase and investor interest. They cant stop him this time and whats better, the company already exists.
The man- who wanted X. Elon Musk

Shady groups (call them what you’d like: Illuminati, WEF, Bilderberg, Zionists, lizards) saw in Elon a hubristic spark. They nurtured it into the fire that it is today. PayPal was a stepping stone to global digital currency. SpaceX and Neuralink are stepping stones to digital transcendence. Now, X is a stepping stone to a trap that would capture humanity’s soul.

His personality meshes well with modern meme culture because they flow within the same river, all downstream of the Knowing Elite. It’s all just a big joke because it’s all just a big joke because it’s all just a big joke. Haha ha?

Replies to this thread are laced with memes that were fed to you. Elon’s hubris is matched by the hubris of those downplaying the ubiquitous power of AI on the horizon.

Why? Capitalism and productivity. As I mentioned earlier, who better to invent and explore than a digital intelligence that has access to all human knowledge and beyond. We will be replaced. We will have nothing. And we’ll be laughing our asses off in total bliss as it happens.

There’s no putting the concept back in the box. I’ve said repeatedly that if not Elon then someone else: Google, Microsoft, Apple, or the company of someone who was born in 2018 — the “everything app” concept comes from a decentralized source. The source is humans. The last thing humans will ever invent is hell. If not X, then something else just like it. If not now, then soon. The markets and progress demand it.

He wants to systematize the world’s citizens under technology so that the collective will serve the abstract concept of human progress. The X platform and all of social media is transforming before our eyes from a reflection of reality to a reality in and of itself. Banking, dating, entertainment, family connectivity, travel, politics, etc — it will all fall under the X app. X hosts the user that the human is recognized as. Nothing need exist outside of X.

Think of humanity as one organism. The new wave of social media companies are becoming “life engineering” companies so as to manipulate humanity in its aggregate form. Meme culture, where the majority of the population is corralled into having identical opinions using the guise of humor, will be replaced by a sort of “Culture 2.0.” A digital renaissance layered atop a human dark age.

We will laugh as one. We will vote as one. We will invent as one. We will think as one. All of this will occur under the guise of freedom: free speech, free will, etc. From birth to death, humanity will be a controllable flock of digital identities.

        Very much so.

Elon has had this plan for over 20 years: adding a new abstraction layer to human existence. Goals of this new society, like getting to mars or standardizing all information through an API of APIs, will be accomplished by creatures that are unrecognizable as humans. We’ll become a herd careening uncritically toward the whims of digital creators, and the herd will call the creator “one of us.”

Eventually humans will be like dumber versions of AI language models until eventually humans just stop getting made. No one will notice the shift.

That’s what people will claim X is.

I like to call X “the last invention of humanity,” because after it takes hold human life will be a hindrance to “progress.” I’ve been developing a thesis on how ancient philosophers and artists foresaw such systems. Corporations are already replacing R&D teams with AI — including pharmaceutical companies. Instead of stuff like neurolink enhancing human life it will instead highlight a superior alternative: making AIs better at being humans than humans.

The redundant masses will be “useless eaters.”

AI-related psychiatric problems are going to be a major problem soon. Many will violently react to the way the world is going, but the anti-human system *is* decentralized. It’s decentralized amid flocking humans. Everyone is already more or less the same due to meme culture. If not Elon then someone else. There’s no putting pandora back in the box. We will go to mars, and the “we” doesn’t include you or I.

Imagine an all-encompassing app/knowledge repository. In such a scenario:
              1) Who will be a better leader, a human or a bot?
              2) Who will be a better explorer, a human or a bot?
              3) A better inventor?
              4) A better arbiter of justice?
              5) A better poet?
              6) A better artist?
              7) A better commentator?
              8) A better historian?
              9) A better doctor?
              10) A better social activist?

Everybody knows the answer is AI. We cannot change our current path. If not X, then something similar. Progress becomes the path of our products and not ourselves.

X is the end of the world. X is the mark. X is the monolith of 2001. It’s the end of humans brought about by the sum of our “progress.”

I just don't see AI as big of a problem as you are making it out to be. I've seen how it works and it cannot and doesn't think for itself. All it does is act like a large storehouse of information that responds to you with b if you feed it a. I'm sure it can get more complicated, but it'll never surpass the intelligence and potential of man.

But you see, the idea of a human creating something comes from somewhere we cannot perceive with our eyes, whereas AI has created something because you fed it the idea of a poem, and gave it many examples of what a good poem is. But it can never create something out of nothing, as humans can. It may be able to process information faster, but it will never have that ability to create from nothing. There's more to being human than being able to calculate things fast. AI in my opinion is not impressive. It reminds me of a money hungry artist who just copies what everyone else is doing to keep up with being "popular".

There is no true AI yet, and all the projects that any of us are aware of are predictive AI, you claim that we arent smart enough to fully comprehend whats coming but anything these systems produce is literally born from things we have already comprehended. These systems can provide no reasoning for any of their actions because they are just generating what should come next based on the data they have learned from. Your assuming that just because you can crunch the data more, you will somehow be able to extrapolate truth about other aspects of our universe that we currently have no data or means to observe. It doesnt matter if you can crunch the data 100x faster. Also, if a system can truly learn, why do you assume it will learn correctly? Idk, your a nut, go camping or something and stop reading the news.

There’s no need for humans to explore mars. Artificial intelligence is better suited for it. It’s also cheaper. Humans will be laughing at fart jokes in AI-generated cartoons while mars is being explored by our creation.

Since then hes tried every stupid move he can think of to try and make a unprofitable money sink suddenly profitable, but hes so dumb that he just makes things worse. One of these was to change from a brand name and logo that had worldwide recognition to a letter he thinks is cool and has been trying unsucsessfully to force for years, including meme names for his children, so why not hail mary it on your multibillion dollar fuck up, even though it helps accelerate its decline into irrelevance.

Saturn was emitting light in form of a crescent, when it was still our sun. It was right before it got replaced by our current sun.

No it's not, it's easy to see that the brainchip was a failure and AI will eventually be too.

They already have brainchips in the population.
Research in this area can be traced to the early to mid 20th century (see "Physical Control of the Mind" by Jose Delgado, which ends with a chapter reassuringly titled Toward a Psychocivilized Society). There's been military contracts, patents, companies involved with this work generations before Musk was, this is a working clandestine enterprise and he's only the face of the rollout.

I'm well aware that mind control is a thing, however it has nothing to do with technology. That's a red herring.

You think it's all psychological, no hardware?

I think that's how it started. But the traditional methodology of inducing multiple personalities via trauma leaves a certain level of unpredictability (especially when those "personalities" have some agency beyond the programmer's). They introduced tech as a means of consolidating power over that force.

I don't think, I know so. I went through it myself and no technology was involved. It was a ritual, and they thought I wouldn't remember anything but I remember every single detail.

Timothy McVeigh an example. He told people he had been implanted with a chip, and an investigation of his military file reveals unexpected corroboration (see "Aberration in the Heartland of the Real: The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh" by Wendy Painting, an absolute must read - she obtained his defense file documenting more than 75 visits to military doctors and dentists, receiving extensive yet largely inexplicable "treatments" not mentioned in letters to family or friends and unknown to the rest of his unit, who were mystified when confronted with the documentation). And he's only one of a number of persons who have made similar claims, often people linked to incidents of seemingly senseless violence - easy to dismiss them as schizo, but in McVeigh's case it appears that smoke led to fire.

                Anonymous

Not schizo because again I know it's real. But it's not done through technology. This is a classic red herring. Just like snowden talking about v2k. The reality is that it's telepathy, not technology.

I see celebs and alike using the letter X a lot. Could be because the letter X is the tip of a pyramid when you really look at it

  16. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

There is a very simple explanation and seemingly people here have suggested every reason except the actual reason why

Elon musk used to have a company called X, this was before PayPal. He also owned the x.com internet domain name. X merged with PayPal and PayPal ended up getting to keep Elons x.com domain name after the sale of X. Because X was one of Elons first if not the first company he had it, along with the x.com domain, had sentimental value to him. A couple of years ago he managed to buy the x.com domain back off PayPal for about$10 million, it's a very rare kind of domain to have, it's not only the name of his company and a single letter but there's actually only 3 single letter domain names available worldwide in total. Now having the x.com domain back in his possession he decided to use it for Twitter. That's the whole story, I don't think there's some mysterious agenda behind it, it is simply a short business name
