Why did EVs have to get popular just as crossovers got popular? I just want a nice electric CAR with a low seating position but there's barely anything out there compared to the glut of crossovers. There's, like, 2 electric cars: the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6. I guess the Volkswagen ID.7 is coming soon but like so many other sedans nowadays, it's being marketed as a "premium" car for a premium price.
Why are are automakers leaving us car enthusiasts out in the cold, LULZ?
no car enthusiast wants an EV. maybe try >>>LULZ or
Poor hands typed this post
i could trade in one of my cars in right now for both a model 3 and ioniq 6 and still have money left over. EVs are simply for homosexuals like you and your two buddies
and no car enthusiast will ever give a shit about them.
cringe
Post car, you won't
kek you're the homosexual who ordered the i5 aren't you. how many times do you want me to embarrass you
>No car posted
>Bonus schizo babble
I accept your surrender.
Also meds
Lol saw this now, no that post wasn't me. This
is the first post in this thread
Seriously though post your car
i posted my M5 fob last time you tried to call me out.
Still not seeing a car
>I bought a $30 shell from fleabay and swapped it onto the key for my leased 318i (ultimate driving machine)
Why the fuck is this board so allergic to posting their cars?
>i posted my M5 fob last time
But you didn't post your car, and still can't post your car. Anon said he was going to order an i5, went ahead and ordered an i5, and has posted that i5 multiple times since then
Surely you own an M5 and aren't just lying on the internet, right?
based
>never posted his car
Not based in the slightest, it's actually pretty cringe
You have never tried Plaid mode because you're a curmudgeon
>i could trade in one of my cars in right now for both a model 3 and ioniq 6 and still have money left over.
lmao kill yourself, cringe larp bitch.
lol forgot i posted in this gay ass thread. i'll check back in another couple days to read all the cope.
Are these retarded ass camera angles intentional? Is it so daddy won't find out you're posting his car on the internet?
>bimmer nagger
>Finally finds a parked m5 to take a picture of
Now do it with the door open, you wont
Lmao fukkin rekt. I don't think the Rube Goldberg machine cuck can recover from this.
cringe
No it is absolute fact.
cringe
Nothing wrong with electric motor swapping an older car for fun. They fucking rip
All new production cars are gay as fuck not just electrics
Car enthusiasts who care about global warming want EVs. Remember that the point of EVs is to combat global warming which is poised to royally fuck our shit up. Any ICE vs EV debate that ignores that is missing the point. You can just ignore this issue but it is like ignoring a chronic health condition. It will only get worse unless you do something about it now. If you ignore the problem then you will face the consequences. For the rational thinking man it is only logical to support anything that can get us out of this problem.
kek
fucking chuds. check out this study done on 390 climate change deniers:
https://theconversation.com/a-189645
they found the following things which absolutely destroy your entire narrative:
>older people were more likely to be sceptical of the reality of climate change
everyone knows younger people are way more intelligent, really know what's going on in the world, and are way less susceptible to manipulation. who are you going to trust to interpret data and science correctly without being led astray, a teenager fresh out of high school or some 50 year old retard who works for a living. lmao
>Those with stronger individualistic worldviews – their priority is individual autonomy as opposed to a more collectivist worldview – were more sceptical about humans causing climate change
ICEchuds btfo. collectivism is the future so embrace it now or get left behind forever. the great reset (which is a far-right conspiracy theory btw) is coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it lmao.
>Contrary to our predictions, people with high analytical abilities were even more likely to be sceptical
this is the final nail in your stupid coffin. analyzing things is retarded, just like you. what's the point of being good at analyzing things when you can just trust the experts (politicians) to analyze them for you, and then tax you to pay for their programs that will fix the problems they tell you you're facing.
lastly look at these stupid reasons you 'people' come up with to explain your skepticism:
>belief that climate changes naturally and cyclically – expressions such as “the climate has always changed quite naturally and always will"
>predictions not becoming reality – explanations such as “seeing climate change alarmists’ predictions being completely false”
>ulterior motives of interested parties – claims such as “the Man-Made climate change HOAX is pushed by the UN to transfer wealth to poorer nations"
embarrassing.
Shut the fuck up, I drive an EV because it's fast and costs me nothing in fuel
You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded
>will I look at the data and arguments the actual climate scientists are putting forward to decide whether this is real or not?
>no, i will look at a survey of people who agree with my position which I have already decided before trying to understand the issue
>this is somehow a sick own for everyone who disagrees with me
brainlet.jpeg
>everyone knows younger people are way more intelligent, really know what's going on in the world, and are way less susceptible to manipulation
Kek, you had me up to here.
Unless you think the high school drop out Stoner listening to podcasts all day is more intelligent than the 75 year old redneck who retired from the bait and tackle store. In which case you and the people you surround yourself are too retarded to form an intelligent opinion.
imagine being too stupid to understand that this is a strawman argument being done for rhetorical effect.
Imagine not reading my comment
Excellent post
chinese tier satire/shitposting
>everyone knows younger people are way more intelligent
too obvious anon
Younger people ARE more intelligent, though. Human intelligence has been rising steadily from the beginning of our species. Every generation is slightly more intelligent than the generation that came before.
yeah yeah try again in the next ev bait thread
I was going through my grade school paper work including my Schools/Districts/States test scores for middle schools in the early/mid 2000s. State averages were high 80s-mid 90s across the 3.
My wife is a teacher today and she was dumbfounded, we looked up the same grade averages for 2022 and they are all mid 40s to mid 50s. She is not allowed to fail students no matter what.
The number of complete retards leaving schools today is scary.
Let me restate the first paragraph
State/district/school averages were high 80s to mid 90s.
Sea level rise is one of the slowest developing problems but it's coming. If you don't believe it try to get flood insurance in a florida coastal property. The insurers are bailing. This is the calm before the storm. This is the first year on record we're over 1.5C above the pre-industrial average. That's where all the bad shit begins to happen. Droughts, floods, hurricanes, all over the issues will get worse and hot and humid areas will have mass deaths from heat waves. There will be shit tons of climate refugees who are driven off their land because of changing climate that makes their homes unlivable. Crop failures will become more common leading to higher and higher food prices. Famine will start to happen again more and more, even touching rich areas.
Convert all ships to nuclear. Ban airplanes. Then come talking about electric cars. Now get off my lawn.
Terrible false flag
You want a model S plaid. great for GAPPING
black female spotted kek
>Why did EVs have to get popular just as crossovers got popular? I just want a nice electric CAR with a low seating position
I'm a retard so I never put two and two together but is the reason why big SUVs are suddenly becoming so popular because EVs need to be big for all the batteries?
SUVs are almost a dead segment and most crossovers are very small. What the hell are you referring to?
SUVs are getting more and more popular in europe. you see them everywhere now.
SUVs are a runaway success as a category though
>Bentley Bentayga
>Porsche Cayenne
>Lamborghini Urus
Sure they haven't caught up to the Tesla Model X or Y yet, but they'll get there when they finally learn to make modern cars
I’m glad Europe gets them, we have 4 midsize options in America and 5 full-size options. No compact
>Why are are automakers leaving us car enthusiasts out in the cold, LULZ?
???
That's exactly my point, though. It seems like almost every sedan is now upmarket. There's no electric Accord.
Model 3 is like $37k and you can get a $7500 tax rebate on it, any working adult in the market for a car in that price range can make use of that tax rebate
You're basically gettting the fucker for the price of a Civic
I already mentioned the Model 3 in the OP.
Turns out enthusiast cars are pretty much almost always upmarket. Whenever there are cheap options available, self proclaimed automotive enthusiasts almost always don't buy them
The Civic and Accord sell decently well, and Tesla has proven that people will still buy a cheaper electric sedan.
Yeah which is why Tesla sells as many cars as Ram sells pickups. Then you have the retards at Chevy trying to sell a 260hp Blazer that's worse in every way to a base Model 3 for $60k starting
I'm not the biggest fan of Teslas but so many other manufacturers aren't even trying
This is and has always the problem with legacy auto EVs. They're trying to sell for a premium price what would otherwise be cheap cars if not for the electric parts. If the $40,000 Model 3 wasn't electric, it would still be a $40,000 car. If the $60,000 Blazer EV wasn't electric, it would be a $35,000 car.
Funny you mention that
What a horrendous entry into the auto field.
GM seems to think the electric version of this vehicle is worth nearly DOUBLE the price of the combustion one. They're insane.
Yeah but you never have to buy fuel again
>double the price of the hot mediocrity that is the Blazer
>uncompetitive with any of it's EV rivals
>no one buys it
>"I guess no one wants to buy EVs"
They're actually sabotaging themselves because they don't want to spend time and money to catch up to Tesla, same with VW and Toyota. Actually just hoping the "EV problem" with just go away
They're going to be in for a very rude awakening when chinks start building their EVs in Mexico and shipping them across the border for cheap
I fixed it.
did you put a V8 in it?
No, I got rid of the appendix on the window line.
inshallah
There's the 3, the S, Ioniq 6, Lucid air, Porsche taycan, Audi E-tron, BMW i4, i5, and i7, polestar 2, and that's just off the top of my head. How much choice do you really need?
Oh and mercedes EQS
oh and maserati gran tourismo folgore
It's almost like OP just wanted to make an EV thread just to shitpost
See
This thread is a falseflag b8 thread, but the M5fag getting BTFO is hilarious
>ev sedans don't exist if you exclude all of these ev sedans
Normal ones for a normal price barely exist.
They do exist though, and maybe if you buy them more of them will exist
For my next car, I'll probably get a used second gen Chevy Volt since it's the closest thing to an electric Civic or Corolla available right now. Maybe depreciation will hit one of the premium EV sedans hard and will become cheap in a couple years.
You are a shrinking demographic and automakers know it. Crossovers are objectively better in every conceivable way.
They're heavier, have lower handling and braking limits, are more likely to rollover in an accident, have worse frontward visibility, and are more dangerous in an accident to occupants of other vehicles and pedestrians.
>There's, like, 2 electric cars: the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6
And the polestar. And like 5 others.
The Polestar 2 is a premium car.
Not really, you're just poor
It's $10,000 more expensive than the already not cheap Model 3 and Ioniq 6.
Model 3 is cheap, literally Civic money
The Civic starts at $24,000. Even with the tax credit, it's still more expensive.
You're not finding any base model Civic on lots, they're always specced out and closer to $30k. Coincidentally a Model 3 with the tax credit is around $30k
Personally I think it makes more sense to wait for the Model 3 refresh, the price is the same but it's a much nicer car inside
.
