All of them make you do the random ass things and yet none of them actually tell you how to apply this shit to speaking

      It's all worthless

if your guide doesn't tell you how to deal with tranny twang then the guide is useless.
unfortunately i have yet to find one that does.

The only ones I've seen were so fucking complex and were written like a science text books.
I'd kill for a more accessible guide.

      This.
If you need a guide you're a brainless lemming.
If you actually cared about it, you'd put the hours in and figure it out.

I sent this to someone on discord a while back, I couldn't get the typical approach to work and this did it for me.

    1. Using pitch apps, this is generally considered not very important, but it's the thing I focused on first, and I think it's easier to change than resonance.
    2. Knowing what resonance is. Basically, when you raise your larynx, you simulate having a smaller voice tract, and that changes the quality of your voice. Basically, this is the difference between a pitched up male voice and a female voice.
    3. Imitation and recording. Once you can get your voice pitch to an androgynous level, which is about 150-160 hz, or A3. Try imitating a feminine voice pattern that you are familiar with. I chose a valley girl accent but it's probably better to use the accent in your local area. imo it won't matter too much in the end, so don't stress over what accent to pick.

You're going to want to record yourself doing this, and then listen back to it to see how it sounds. Try to adjust your voice to match the intended sound more closely, and repeat until it sounds right. You are basically training a set of muscles, so the only way to actually get the control to match that intended voice is to practice.

    4. If you find you are struggling to change your resonance, one thing you can try as a last resort is temporarily tightening your throat. Speaking with a tightened throat will force your resonance up but will also damage your voice over time, so once you understand how it feels try to replicate it without tightening anything.

    5. There's also resources out there that give you exercises to help you get a more feminine voice, but I found they weren't as effective as the steps above, but people have been successful with them. The one I'm most familiar with is TransVoiceLessons. I found all the technical stuff at the start kinda boring and not very helpful. I also found it hard to do many of their exercises well.

      6. Don't sing. I've seen a bunch of people try to start by singing along with women's song parts, but that's generally not a good idea. It won't hurt in any way but it's not very applicable to speaking and is generally much harder to do properly.

Agreed, singing and talking are two totally different things.

Singing doesn't focus on the ups and downs or normal woman speech patterns

Ikr Anon? Why the fuck do people just spam the same meaningless nonsense without ACTUALLY explaining HOW to do their bullshit exercises. Then they get mad at you for not understanding their one word answers to ur question.

I would voice train right fucking now if someone explained it in a way that made sense.

She goes over every single step, step by step, and teaches you to layer each one individually. She also responds to anything you ask her in the comments even tho she doesnt make content anymore, so she's still around.

She's helped me get my voice and its fucking amazing. I didn't think i'd ever get it because people on youtube are like "just speak quieter lol!" but this chick fucking rocked my world

Just fucking speak in your girl voice all the time. Yeah, you'll sound like a homosexual for the first several months, but it beasts sounding like a homosexual forever because you're just repeating some meaningless phrases that you'll never say in day-to-day conversation.

dude i want to help but i keep recording my voice and the self hate and never being satisfied pulls be back. just to see where im coming from on discord i like had people say im a 14 year old or that i have a cute smol voice but when i record myself i still dont like it. what im saying is that everybody hates their voice and so will you after practicing tons. anyway the trick for voice passing is tension. treat your vocal cords like you are playing an instrument and do the notes with your voice muscles. daily practice and don’t overdo it. men got more vocal cords than women so we can make tons of sounds, you got to be able to hold some muscles. i sing daily and got my telephone voice down which is what i use in social situations. my more relaxed voice not trying is what i use with close family and still pass to my bf’s family. practice saying letters only and numbers if you get them down then you can say anything with your new voice. btw i know it feels awkward practicing in person so don’t. instead read a book out loud too so that you get your practice down and then do your practiced voice with strangers that havent heard you talk yet. your voice should be coming from the back of your throat. saying aaaaaaaaa shouldnt make your chest vibrate. avoid the gay accent

from what I've noticed the only way to get a thread with feedback this awesome is for someone like OP to state she's willing to put in the effort of training and then to engage with legitimate suggestions, with her specific gripes to those suggestions but only to find solutions to them not to discard the method itself.
A few other anons ITT got help this way too.
I think it's great these threads are archived so you can reference them when it might help someone else. good reading material.
