Every millennial I know adblocks, pirates, or has been sold on the VPN meme. Zoomers got their values from the gen x that reared them.

The problem is those gen x were supposed to be the rebel generation but they bought into society because the money was there, and took the millennials last bite.

Zoomers were raised by people who think the world will never burn, because it's never failed them. That is why their criticism of society is so hollow, it's about clout and an in group, not actually believing corporatism has valid problems.

      >why are zoomers so opposed to adblockers and piracy
Cause they grew up under the extremely moralist americuck/internationalist propanda for all their life, most zoomers are scared of being cancelled and for good reasons cause it happense all the time, their defense mechanism is to conform.
Not all zoomers are like this, I've met a couple of based zoomers on Tor that were into privacy, security and linux so there is a minority of rebel zoomers, with this said their culture is inherently self-repressive, conformist and all of their anger is carefully misdirected into bullshit causes that go against their interests like nu-civil rights and global warming.
We need to funnel their anger(and there's a lot) into the right causes and against the right enemies like the corpos and organization that oppresses/censors/control them.

      >Zoomers were raised by people
Wrong zoomers were raised by the state propaganda and by youtube autoplay, they basically had no parents.

why do you care? i'm an older millennial who will literally never stop blocking ads and pirating. over time it's gotten easier when new adblock and piracy tech drops... and harder when a bunch of people start doing it because it's so easy and a response occurs.
if new generations find it ethically reprehensible because they've fully deep-throated the cocks of corporate media, it eliminates the surge in popularity automatically over time. as the majority of the consumer base avoids blocking ads and avoids pirating things, it will not be economically viable to spend money on prevention for those of us that do.
a golden age of piracy is about to dawn once again, for those of us willing to bask in it. it will be funded by mindbroken children, and will continue until society wakes up to realize how morally corrupt the entire concept of advertising and marketing is (so, forever, lmao)

      >why do you care?
If zoomers do not get into piracy there will be noone to keep it alive in the future.
We HAVE to make it cool, this is an existential threat.
You define yourself a millennial but your reasoning is typical "I got mine fuck you" shortsighted boomer behavior.
Change comes from the new generations, you are a retard if you don't get it.
      >over time it's gotten easier
Cause there are people to put the work in it, you think it happens with magica?
      >a golden age of piracy
More like it will fade into nothingness cause nobody will care.

        >Cause there are people to put the work in it, you think it happens with magica?
lmao. no, it happens from people like me who develop tools to make it easier for ourselves.
        >More like it will fade into nothingness cause nobody will care.
piracy has existed for as long as paying for media has existed. it will continue to exist forever.
the more exclusive the group, the lower the probability of detection.
if YOU think it's faded into nothingness, it has reached the perfect level of exposure and is invisible to retarded normies like yourself.
        >this is an existential threat
to pure leeches like yourself, yes. i'm happy with this. bye!

100% leech mentality. everything you need to pirate effectively is out there to be found. it's not hard. it's easy. zoomies think it's unethical. that's fine, i'm not going to forcibly redefine their ethics, that's their problem and their parents' fault. the side effect of them all being paypigs is only good for me. i'll be here when some of them wise up.
pretty rich for the talentless mooch (that's you) to be calling me brainrotted though lmao. i bet you've never done a thing in your life worth another person's mention.

on this one. DRM and other such anti-tamper bullshit is just going to keep getting more sophisticated regardless. If more zoomers aren't into piracy, that's fewer people who will potentially want to be rebellious and crack it themselves. You're correct that too much awareness is also a problem, but there still needs to be effort put forth to teach enough people that they'll carry the torch. Also, in my experience, a lot of zoomers don't pirate due to illiteracy and fear, not because of ethics.

                >DRM and other such anti-tamper bullshit
is developed in direct response to the popularity of piracy. businesses will not spend gobs and gobs of money on a problem that affects too small a percentage of their possible sales. advanced DRM bullshit skyrocketed when normies figured out how to torrent.

Steve Jobs could have saved John Carmack from this
          >John next told Steve point blank that the iMac mouse “sucked.” Steve sighed and explained that “iMac was for first-time computer buyers and every study showed that if you put more than one button on the mouse, the users ended up staring at the mouse.” John sat expressionless for 2 seconds, then moved on to another topic without comment.
          >After the meeting ended, I walked John to the Apple store on campus (this was before there were actual Apple stores) and asked him on the way what he thought of Steve’s response to the mouse comment. John replied, “I wanted to ask him what would happen if you put more than one key on a keyboard.
