Why are trans posters so worried about passing rather than looking attractive?

Have you not heard about the halo effect??? Ugly men and women still get treated like shit all of the time. I’d just lookmaxx while transitioning. It’s not like you’ll end up lonely with that route

believe it or not, most people aren't chasers and transbians, they find the androgyny to be off putting and uncanny. if you dont pass you don't get treated as a woman, you get treated as an inbetween at best

If you looksmax without passing only bi people will want you

That drastically decreases your dating pool

      but i love bi men

Interesting. I guess so, but I don’t identify as straight, gay, or bi. I just take in attraction without a label. I either like someone or I don’t. I don’t understand why I need to label my sexual experiences beyond a distinction of attractiveness. I can agree with the limited dating pool comment because I’m the only guy out of my friend group, who in prima facie, is “bi”

you're not interesting for not calling yourself bi when you're bi. also youre retarded for thinking other people have the same attractions as you in terms of how they treat people

What? I never said it makes me interesting. I’m just stating a fact: I don’t understand the need for labels in something a fluid as sexuality. As for the rest of your post, I have no idea what you’re trying to articulate. Are you saying that I’m a reductionist for believing everyone is similar sexually? What does this have to do with how one treats other people? How is that connected to sexual identity?

In the past the difference between passing and not was basically life or death, though it was far easier to pass. Troons still think that that's important when the reality is that an attractive trans woman will always be treated better than an unattractive passing trans woman. When a trans woman becomes attractive people will simply lie and say they pass purely out of insecurity, because most people don't want to admit the truth that a trans woman doesn't have to be indistinguishible from a cis woman to turn them on. Most people are unsurprisingly at least a little bit bi.
Don't believe me, look at all the most popular trans porn stars.

That makes sense. I also think it serves as a firewall that protects them from chasers to some extent. If the individual doesn’t pass, who’s to say that they won’t only attract gay men? I get that it’s probably more nuanced than we can divulge in this thread, but I find it interesting that they eschew the matter of attractiveness whole solely focusing on passing which is rather nebulous. I can’t really discern at what someone does or doesn’t pass. What is the threshold? To me, it seems like it’s mainly up to looks, style, behavior, physical presentation, and voice. But at the same time, these could all fluctuate with ciswomen, so I don’t know.

Telling trans women you're bi is the best way to filter out the keepers from the rest. Only the validation addicts seem to get offended by the concept, meanwhile the normal girls are ecstatic that they don't have to worry about you hate criming them, getting the ick when you see them at less than their best, just trying them out or not knowing how to fuck.

      >when the reality is that an attractive trans woman will always be treated better than an unattractive passing trans woman
But how the fuck would you propose that an unattractive passing tranny would turn herself attractive? Or how would someone who's starting their transition aim for attractiveness instead of passing? What exactly is the difference?

There's an overalp between attractiveness and passing but generally what you're aiming for is a good boyfat% for your weight distribution and build, good makeup skills, nice hair, FFS and good style. It's a big part of why HSTS traditionally are considered more attractive, going full twinkhon mode with the honfidence to do makeup and hair and dress appealingly is literally 60% of the battle. The rest is skincare and staying in shape. Unless you're built like Chris chan the chances are you'll be able to make yourself into an attractive enough twinkhon.
The difference between that and just trying to pass is that the actual structure of your body matters far less unless you're on the extreme end. Girls obsessed with passing are more likely to put off the important thigns they can control for the unimportant things they can't and waste time because of their midface ratio or whatever.

I wanna put in all the effort I can and become attractive even if I'm visibly trans but I can't because I don't have a spine and I'm adhd so I can't stick to routines or commit to anything long term

I'm not sure I could even stick to taking the pills every day

For the most part passing and being attractive go hand in hand. Yeah there's that weird twinkhon middleground but that isn't achievable for many.

even w the halo effect, an unattractive cis woman is going to be treated better than an unattractive trans woman.

I look like some androgynous fem boy and I have a very small will to live and I can barely take care of myself. People think I'm hot tho so not looking like a woman makes me want to kill myself slightly less

I want a lookmaxxing thread where I can be told how to look hot and not have my transness even remotely brought up.

I'm worried about both because I'm an ugly non-passer
