This. There's an old Irishman who lives in the flat below mine and I've never seen him sober the entire 5 years I've lived here. Nice bloke though.

Even drinking you come 2nd to the Englishman. I've never understood the "Irish drunk" stereotype, they're usually smacked out on the street corner selling their arse for a Tesco meal deal instead.

      >implying NI is good at anything

It's always been top 10 by virtue of there being only about 10 coultries that give a shit about the sport.

because anyone of athletic ability plays GAA gaelic sports hurling and gaelic football, although there's a good few great irish rugby players i cant speak on that since i dont watch it

nobody cared about soccer or any other sport 3 years i was there

When were you there? That sounds like BS to me

That's an All-Ireland rugby team, we are only decent because of the protestants involved in the sport in general, from schools to the Ulster province

So its that why they're all customers for manure, smeltic, liverpoo and spuds?

GAA may have more active participation and actual attendence figures but soccer has been shown to have the biggest following of any sport. Why it has struggled domestically has been subject to some discussion.

      Boris predates Trump in politics

Boris Johnson became Mayor of London in 2008 and was considered a serious contender for PM since at least 2012, when Trump was just a celebrity from The Apprentice.

so if he predates Trump why did he shape so much of his current image after Trump? Why do we rub off on your established politicians so much yet the opposite doesn't happen? Why are we such a big influence on your little island?

boris has had a long and storied carrier, he's more of a tory eccentric than a trump clone. Boris used to be pretty liberal for a tory, but he's flirted with pretty much every possible policy over the years in search for electoral success. Trump was barely a republican. Brexit wasn't just boris (tho he was the biggest brexitter voice during the referendum), it had been floated around in the uk since the 90s. Half the tory party used to be hardcore eurosceptics and boris's position before 2016 was the default tory soft euroscepticism. He used to be a journalist, and they're mostly spectacularly horrible human beings who just care about london and shag each other in office parties. Trump used to be involved in the real estate business and developed a really successful niche. Boris has failed at every non-journalism and non-political job he's ever done
