Back in highschool I used to have a group of friends, 4 men, 4 women, 3 women were cis lesbians, and just one man was cis gay (me lol)
Can't remember the name of it but there's an intersex condition that 100% of people who have it are attracted to women. Being trans is probably just an intersex brain condition so it's probably something similar to that.

The parts of the brain that are “feminized” to create a troon are not necessarily the same parts of the brain that are “feminized” to create a gay male. They are heavily linked because they have similar causes, but ultimately one does not necessitate the other.
If they were linked, then straight trans women would be the norm, but that's not true

Because most cis women that are lesbian also identify as somewhere on the nonbinary scale, at least as of recently, back early on many butch women went by he/him pronouns. It's the same concept. Also the amount of trans lesbians being gay is due to people lumping legitimate trans women even with AGPs like Johnathan Yaniv or Chris chan and many incels such as that that transitioned to get puss from lesbians vs having legitimate dysphoria and actually being women.
