Much ado about Blanchard and "AGP", why does no one here talk about Havelock Ellis and "eonism"?

      Because literally who.

He's an extremely important figure in the history of sexology, the obsession with Blanchard is strange considering he seemingly directly developed his ideas from Havelock. Please at least learn to use wikipedia, there is so much information on the internet.

You have a female sexuality that’s been frustrated and warped by male sexual and social development

This is an idea I often find myself agreeing with, I mention Havelock specifically because he was one of the first "sexologists" to start discussing transgender people openly, and he also immediately started tying up sexual crossdressing as the origin of people not identifying with their "biological sex".
This neurotic obsession with sex was a huge disease of early psychology and most infamously was popularized by Freud, after he stopped promoting his seduction theory due to intimidation. It's a shame that we're still relying on Havelock's theories vis a vis Blanchard.

Blanchard's work is seen as an abrogation of previous researchers work. I'm not entirely sure why he's hated so much by this board, but I can't find a flaw in what he says, and no one really wants to address it ime.
I'll check Wiki now based on your rec.

      >eonism
      Cursory research shows it's based.
Far less pseudo-scientific than Blanchard's crap and far more base observations with realistic conclusions about reality.
It also better explains the single mother-trans female child phenomenon than Blanchard's lackluster model.

Why are people in /tttt/ so fascinated with these kinds of "man gets so horny by the idea of women that they want to become ones" theories proposed by men in the 1920s?
Like personally I think more mainstream conceptions of gender explain my situation better. I acted feminine as a kid pretty early on despite having other siblings and being raised normally as a boy, realised I wanted to be a girl by the age of nine or something despite not really having a word for it and not knowing what sex was, and grew to have really strong dysphoria as a teenager. My sexual preferences and fetishes have changed multiple times since then, my gender identity has not. Like I mean, sure there are things in my childhood you could point to if you wanted to make this kind of a 'places women as an object of admiration' argument, but I bet there are things like that in most people's childhood and yet they don't become trans.
Like you motherfuckers really think you're AGP? Like actually truly you think you just get off on the idea of being women so hard you have to medically transition or something? Would you make that big of a decision just because you're horny, how does that make sense?

          There's nonsexual aspects to AGP
And it makes the most sense considering I've been AGP and dysphoric since childhood

            What is non-sexual AGP?
I have not read any of these things, but on wikipedia the list of all of the types use the word 'arousal' which idk, does sound pretty sexual in nature.
Like again, when I think to my own experience, I don't remember feeling arousal at the idea of being a girl.

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blanchard%27s_transsexualism_typology#Autogynephilia
              >Blanchard and Lawrence argue that just like more common sexual orientations such as heterosexuality and homosexuality, it is not only reflected by penile responses to erotic stimuli, but also includes the capacity for pair bond formation and romantic love.

Simple question; when you entered puberty and began doing what people do at that stage, did you fantasize about male or female bodies?

Mostly female, I thought I just liked girls most of my childhood but kinda realised I could go with boys too when I was 14 or something.

Thank you. AGP is an offshoot of male heterosexuality.

                ???
                Your point being?
You're just repeating that it is but again, my issue is that I'm really not sure this is a model that describes a lot of people and I'm not sure I could trust this as a theory. It seems like you have to jump through a lot of different hoops to get from the initial reported feelings to 'you're AGP'. You can construct all sorts of different theories and models.
You can also explain autogynephilic fantasies as a result of being trans rather than trans being a result of autogynephilic fantasies, but just like with AGP you'd have to make a lot of assumptions for it, no?

ur wrong it's just a fetish (nothing wrong with that, doesn't mean you are/aren't trans)

"just" a fetish is pretty dismissive, when it encompaces so much of your sexuality.
In the future it'll hopefully be unclassified as one, when you actually begin the process of transitioning.
