Outnumbering the Soviets just means 100x more casualties as the Soviets rocket and shell the massed Chinese hordes

Not so much shooting fish in a barrel as tossing a grenade into the barrel.

soviets took massive losses too, they zergrushed and weren't particularly good fighters, they just had numbers and a few great tacticians

          Lol this isn't 1980 pedik

Russia tech is a few decades behind today and China is among the leaders in all of the new technologies that are meaningful like ai, robotics and quantum computing with a manufacturing capabilities bigger than most of the west combined meanwhile russia's top exports are oil and prostitutes to ironically china lol

That said, chinks can't war and even though they have something like 30+ million mongols/turks/manchus that could actually make elite soldiers none of them would fight for ccp china

In a war of annihilation, all major cities of both nations get nuked, Russia has more nukes but China has more than enough nukes to take out every Russian city, so its a draw with both losers

In a conventional war China would still take it ironically due to the technology gap and supply chain logistics + economic engine to keep pumping out more equipment

But the reality is if these countries went to war nato would bum rush western russia and the US/Japan/SK would take out eastern russia, india would take tibet, turkic stans would take uighurstan, mongolia would take inner mongolia (or more so inner mongolia would merge with mongolia), and US/SK/Japan would take the entire Chinese coast

Lol what you don't realize pedik is that the world is already circling russia salivating getting ready for the kill, Soviet Union was only the beginning, the next time we break up this region its going to be something like 50+ meaningless helpless nations, its going to be feeding frenzy lead by the US and guarantee that SK and Japan are getting prime real estate on the pacific coast and western Russia is going to be turned into ukraine while Poland annexes Belarus and Kalinigrad, entire Russian oil/gas industry going to be controlled by a consortium of US/UK/German/SK/Japan conglomerates lol

          >Concerns about Chinese manpower and its "People's War" strategy ran so deep that some bureaucrats in Moscow argued the only way to defend against a massive conventional onslaught was to use nuclear weapons. Some even advocated deploying nuclear mines along the Sino-Soviet border. By threatening to initiate a prolonged conventional conflict in retaliation for a nuclear strike, Beijing used an asymmetric deterrence strategy that was intended to convince Moscow that the costs of an attack would outweigh the benefits.

          >China had found its strategic rationale. While most Soviet military specialists did not fear a Chinese nuclear reprisal and believed that China's arsenal was too small, rudimentary and vulnerable to survive a first strike and to carry out a retaliatory attack, China's massive conventional army caused great concern.

China would outnumber the Soviets to a ridiculous degree

It's not so obvious. China has the numbers but USSR is in better strategic position since the most important Soviet cities are on the other side of the country. I think it would be easier for Russians to launch an invasion from Pacific coast and invade the China proper. The success depends on how does the Chinese fleet compare to the Russian Atlantic fleet. On the other hand, if USSR wanted to launch a land invasion, they would have to either cross the Mongolian steppe or Manchuria, what would be very costly.

    >Fallaci: Will you allow me an observation on this point, Mr. Deng? The Chinese always say that they are not afraid of the Soviet Union, that you are ready to face them. But how can you believe that you can compete with the tremendous efficiency of the Soviet military machine?

    >Deng: [He laughs]. Eh! China is poor and our military is backwards, I agree. But we have our traditions, you know. And for quite some time, using inadequate and miserable equipment, we have cultivated the art of defeating well-armed enemies. Our territory is extremely vast, and in this vast territory the people have learned the necessary resistance for a long war — to bend the strength of others through their weaknesses. Whoever wants to invade China should remember this truth, and I believe that the Soviets remember it well. Many people continue to predict that the Soviet Union’s next target will be China, and some friends even pass us information to prove to us that the Soviets are amassing troops along the Chinese borders and border regions. But we simply say that this has never been a secret, and that invading China is a very big step for them. Even if they were able to occupy Beijing and all the lands to the north of the Yellow Sea, for us the war would be just beginning. No, there’s no need to mythologize Soviet military superiority when you talk about China. The Afghan guerrillas are very active in Afghanistan, you know. And in China we have a lot of space — I repeat, a lot of people.

    >Fallaci: I think I understand the tradition you’re alluding to, Mr. Deng — the one that consists in beckoning your enemy in and saying sweetly, “Come in, my dears, come in. Make yourselves comfortable. Then you’ll see what happens. Who will ever see you again?”

    >Deng: [He laughs loudly]. Look, I don’t know about a lot of things. I don’t know much about the economy. But I know about war. I know how war is fought.

19th century Russian military wrestled the entire Balkans from Ottoman control, took Finland from Sweden, drove Napoleon out all the way to Paris, conquered the entirety of central Asia, conquered Azerbaijan and Georgia from Persia. It was nothing but victories aside from the Crimean war while chinks kept getting ass raped by every western moron able to use a gun.
