Listening some Schnittke or Miles Davis is fine, but when i try to listen Basic Channel or any black metal it's horrible, lack of low end bass and 4-7khz peak rape my ears. Thankfully this easy to fix with eq.
this i love my shp9500. i own a few other pairs of headphones and iems though. i own a pair of dt770s 250ohms, superlux hd668b, grados sr60x, and wh1000xm3s. out of all of them i use the shp9500 and dt 770s the most.
havent heard of the brainwavz pad before, but i know you can change the pads on the 9500 with a bit of diy. a couple of youtube vids should be good enough to help you out.
i have a pretty small head, so the 9500 is the most comfortable pair of headphones i own because they dont clamp on me at all and just rests over my ears. stock pads are good enough for me too
Most headphones are terrible. They either have a muffled sound, have bass response that drops below 70 Hz (learn about audio before you cry about the importance of this), have boosted/peaky treble response, or all of the above.
I had some of these. The right ear cup stopped working. Barely 2 1/2 years after buying them. 2 year warranty ofcourse. They wanted to charge 60% of what they cost, just to fix it and that wasn't even including "cleaning costs" if they deemed them too dirty.
And yes, I look after my possessions.
Got israeliteed, learnt the hard way. Only buy headphoned with detachable cables.
The M20X was extremely uncomfortable with its small and stiff earcups, would not try anything from that line ever again. Currently using a HD 560S, no regrets, it's big and comfortable and sounds good.
lol
damn those sennheisers are pathetic
audio noob here, i keep seeing these graphs whenever i check /hpg/, what do they mean?
How dis?

Yes, but EQ is necessary.
No It's not.
I'm truly sorry for your (hearing) loss.

I want to change pads on my 9500, do you have information about changing the sound with brainwavs pads?

Can't relate.
I am never getting rid of my 599's, sounds so much better than my old m40x's that fricking broke into a million pieces, and way way comfier
I have 599's as well. Do you use an amp?
I know it's not necessary, but could it improve them?
no, amps just make things louder, it's literally in the name
i own the m50x, unironically my koss porta pros sound much better, more comfortable too
>morontings
Frick off Black personbass lover
>headphones
What are you? A teenager?
i wish i was
take me back
I have one and my HD-58X blows it out of the water.
I have m40x and HD600s. I like them both.
RTINGS is a joke for headphones.
I heard those are shit and got the m40 instead
I have both. I honestly like my m50x more. Though, the 650 are way more comfortable.

I hve a feeling people are mistaking ATH-M50x for the better ATH-M50
m50x's had the worse fake leather trim known to man. It completely disintegrated in less than a year. Horrible garbage. They sound muddy too.
for me it's the R70x.
