I mean personal opinion of their music aside, they are just the biggest phonies. They were anti rockstar? Anti mainstream? They signed to a major label as quick as the opportunity arose lmfao. They were on MTV with a high budget video, immediately. They were all in with all the fame, but pretended they weren't....like yeah, someone is forcing you to do all this horrible rockstar shit huh? Yeah right, posers. Just look at him on the cover of a magazine posing like the coolest guy in the world with a shirt that sucks "akcshully.....magazines suck!". It's almost a joke how fake they were, and retards buy into it to this day worshipping those idiots as "counter culture"
And since the top two phonies have been posted, I'll just talk about a lesser phony, but another phony nonetheless
Corey fuckin Taylor. His whole "i was bullied, i don't fit in, i am a psychopath, i am mentally INSAAAAAAAAAAAAANE" shtick is so bullshit. Anyone who's ever listened to this guy talk knows he's the most normal, hyper confident, full of himself egotist jackass there is, he likes to sniff his own farts more than Henry Rollins. His whole thing in Slipknot was marketing and knowing how to manipulate the angsty kid demographic just right
Geffen is a major label you dumb anime posting tranny, you know, the label they signed to on their SECOND ALBUM.

because...
Disenchanted with Sub Pop, and with the Smart Studios sessions generating interest, Nirvana sought a deal with a major record label >since no indie label could buy them out of their contract.[35]
Cobain and Novoselic consulted Soundgarden and Alice in Chains manager Susan Silver for advice.[36][37] They met Silver in Los Angeles and she introduced them to agent Don Muller and music business attorney Alan Mintz, who was specialized in finding deals for new bands. Mintz started sending out Nirvana's demo tape to major labels looking for deals.[36][37] Following repeated recommendations by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, Nirvana signed to DGC Records in 1990.[38]

Nirvana has no underground or anti mainstream cred.
Corey Gaylord is complete cringe but shitknot actually has some okay music there’s lot of bands that have that I don’t fit in I’m physchooo rooooarr boohoo image but they suck so I don’t really care if he is a poser because shitknot has some okay songs
yeah, well that's just, like, your opinion, man
masterstroke of calculated faux-rebellion as commentary is too 4d chess for you
you think punk was still alive in the 90s? their self image was the irony of a "big rock band"
>corporate magazines still suck >I will work for them though >and do interviews for them >and travel to their photoshoots >and follow the directions of their photographers >and let them make big money off my image >but I'm sure showing them with my clever T-shirt
Is this the most pathetic Nirvana photo?
Either not sucking corporate cock for money and exposure or just accepting that it's part of the job is much less gay than pretending to be rebellious while you do it.
A kid writing "fuck school" on his notebook is more rebellious than Kurt Cobain
>nirvana pose like they're so sad and tortured >it is ironic, as if to mock the idea >but this actually is their gimmick and how they market themselves, not just how the mainstream paints them
I was disappointed to find out Bryan "Stray Cat Strut" Setzer is basically a show choir dork with a guitar, and that rockabilly was just a novelty to him same as if Bowie had done a rockabilly song.
Nirvana's death spawned the creation of the immensely boring Foo Fighters, and that's the only thing that bothers me about them. Not a big fan, but still would find the alt history of Cobain living far more interesting than what we have now. And best of all, he wouldn't have been deified like he is now, instead he'd probably be treated like a more left wing version of modern day Billy Corgan.
it would have but theyd have less cred. theyd just be thought of as another faceless 90s post grunge band like collective soul or whatever instead of having long term staying power
Pretty much. Half them nigs were gay (Dre, Puff, etc). All were ruled over by israelites. Dewey Cox movie has a great bit about this. Plus if you listen to current interviews about those around at the time, they pretty much confirm all of it.
Professor Griff was the real one that called it out at the time & they fired his ass for it. Sell out bitches.
Them, and these
Based. People often don't realize Nirvana actually sucks ass, all because that homosexual killed himself.
>3 whole albums, one of which barely did anything, the final was a semi flop
>best band everrrrrr!
Fuck off.

the phony part being that Bryan Setzer is in no way at all a cool guy
It's impossible for these bands to be hacks, I like them

do you have a single fact to back that up?

I think there's a chance the Foo Fighters would still exist. Kurt was looking for an excuse to fire Dave Grohl.
The mystery is whether Foo Fighters' bland buttrock would have been so accepted without Dave's sympathy points from Kurt's death.
it would have but theyd have less cred. theyd just be thought of as another faceless 90s post grunge band like collective soul or whatever instead of having long term staying power
One of my friend plays guitar and likes foo fighters, I just listen to music and find it boring
john lennon was shot because he was a phony
Most gangsta rappers from the 90's and 00's

Trent Reznor.
How so? I hate him so I'd love to have some context
