        Tried using both others and couldn't figure out how to do basic shit, and the interface was butt ugly.

        It's literally Windows that's why I picked Cinnamon.

        Then either MATE or XFCE, cinnamon is too bloated for a system like that. Either that, or use a standalone window manager.

      The difference in RAM usage between Cinnamon and Xfce on Mint is minimal, something like 150 MiB. With 4GB RAM you won't even notice it.

    mint with cinnamon only uses about 1GB RAM after login and about 2GB total with Chrome with a few tabs open, if you just use your computer for entertainment only it works fine on 4GB RAM
