>phone didn't charge
This has happened, and when I see it my phone is like 20 or 30 percent. So I just start charging and by the time I leave the house it's well over 50%. I can then charge it in the car and at work.
How did you not know about how phones work? It's really funny how disconnected you are from reality. Either you're underage, or you don't have anything happening in your life.
Keyless push start, which my car doesn't even fucking have.
Having a slot to put your keys in is cool if you want to, but also give me the choice to start the car when it's just in my pocket when I go on short runabout ffs
I passed my test in a keyless push start, but didn't realise until the start of the test because I had never started the instructor's car before lel. Examiner didn't seem to notice/care.
This is what I've been wondering about with the push start cars. It's pretty bad if I cant just sit in my car and listen to music with the car turned off.
Not necessarily just about starting the vehicle, but toyotas implementation of a keyless key is atrocious.
#1 - It is difficult to know if the doors are locked. it has the feature where when you walk up to the vehicle with the key, it will unlock, but I feel like sometimes it doesn't lock, and if I try and hit the lock button on the door the piece of shit beeps because it doesn't want to lock the door with the door open
- with a regular key, I just make sure I have the key in my hand, then I move the lever to the lock position, and close the door
#2 - you have to press the brake pedal to start it. fucking stupid shit that does nothing, the gear selector is already locked in the park position, so this is wholly unnecessary
- with a regular key, you just turn the key and the engine starts
#3 - no accessory position. there is one, but I don't know what it is for. it turns on the radio, but if you accidentally left a window down, you have to start the fucking engine to roll the window back up. also if you park and want to finish listening to a song, you have to leave the engine running, you can't put it in accessory from on I don't think
BONUS - the chunk of shit is supposed to have remote start, I forget what button combo it is, but if you were to remote start it to get the heat rolling during the winter, it shuts off after 10 minutes I think, and also, if you started it with remote start, it shuts off the engine when you open the door, so there is no point in even using it.
you can set the ignition to on without actually turning the engine on, this will allow power windows to operate. i miss manual windows for this reason though.
if you want to go straight to accessory mode after finishing driving, shift to neutral then turn the engine off, this sets it to accessory mode. one reason why i like key starts
Key ignition, it feels more legit and far less likely to ever fuck up. I can get brand new metal keys for my Benz straight from the dealership for $30, how much does your electronic magic button/key fob bullshit cost to fix when it fucks up?!
i hate push to start. my damn sister is ALWAYS leaving the engine on for hours because she forgets to turn it off. every month or so I have to go pick her up bc the battery is drain from doing so
why not both?
>entry and drive
Rabid homosexual spotted
you’re free to remove the dummy keyboard use your real key
which one do you have?
A 991 without ED
i don’t feel like im missing much by not having to take the key out of my pocket but ok
You have a fake fish fin sticking out of your car, I shove a miniature sized Porsche into a hole with every drive
the tiny porsche is always with me in my pocket, and i have an additional tiny porsche in the dash that i turn to start it, i win this round
>and i have an additional tiny porsche in the dash that i turn to start it
You turn a fucking fin
key
Key
It makes me feel like I actually own my vehicle.
>Key
>posts vidya of a push-button start vehicle
Ok.
>turn key
>push button
>best of both worlds
It feels like you're arming a missile or some shit it's awesome.
>vidya
Neither. I just sit in the car and drive.
My dude, that shit is gay af.
Not as gay as the rest of the industry.
This. It's one less thing to have to carry in my pockets. I don't know why anyone would be against that.
Too much to go wrong. I'm fine. I need something physical
>phone didn't charge
>can't go to work
>get fired
There's an NFC card that's included as a backup.

>phone is broken
>phone charger is broken
>car is now bricked
>phone is broken
This happens once every 3-4 years. I just whip out my wallet card.
I love this smugness you have
I hope you never ever deviate from your routine or have a cable stop working, imagine the embarrassment
I have several cables and methods of charging.
Key
Key
button
buttons are for fags
men insert the phalic object in the slit

My car got both so get fucked
Key all the way.
Key

I have a button, and I want a key because with a button it's impossible to turn off the engine without turning off the radio.
what? I'm annoyed that the radio keeps playing after turning the engine off, because it sounds like shit without the sub
if it's a toyota, shift it to neutral then kill the engine before shifting into park. that'll make it go to accessory mode instead
This is what I've been wondering about with the push start cars. It's pretty bad if I cant just sit in my car and listen to music with the car turned off.
there's almost always a way to do it, even if it can be annoying
fuck new cars
crank starting is the only real way a man is supposed to start his car we need to bring this back
Fun fact: Henry Ford bought his wife a Buick so she could have electric start.
I too wish that the act of starting my car had a nonzero chance of resulting in death
I like it when the fob is the button.
Regular key with no immobilizer chip.
The kiaboyz would like to know your location
Nta but two counties past "y'all ain't from around here, are yeah?"
>caprice
It's already stolen.
>tromps on gas pedal before turning key
>"please start you S.O.B."
ah the good old days
Keys are for brokies
If you insist
Button was cool twenty years ago when only expensive cars had it. Now that every soccermom van and ev has it, key is the better choice
Why though? Button allows you to keep the key in your pocket at all times. It's luxurious.

Key
dont really care, I've got two cars with each, though buutton is more convenient because I don't have to bother taking the key out of my pocket
Second picture bc turning the key on the steering column makes me look poor af unless is located on the dash, then that's cooler than push to start.
Key ignition, it feels more legit and far less likely to ever fuck up. I can get brand new metal keys for my Benz straight from the dealership for $30, how much does your electronic magic button/key fob bullshit cost to fix when it fucks up?!
Ignition barrels are far more complicated and prone to failure than a fucking button
My car doesn't even have remote unlock
Makes no real difference to me. Although I suppose the key only because it's easier to cycle on just the power.
my mode of transportation is kickstart only with a choked carb.
i hate push to start. my damn sister is ALWAYS leaving the engine on for hours because she forgets to turn it off. every month or so I have to go pick her up bc the battery is drain from doing so
That makes no sense
key.
im starting to get tired of buttons and want some old style "buttons" which were more like switches.
