I WISH I WAS HENRY ROLLINS!
There's nothing I'd like more than to scam young people out of their hard earned cash. People who weren't even born when he was still Henry Garfield and playing bass for S.O.A.
But, sadly, I'm not Henry Rollins. I'm just another faceless Anon, shitposting on LULZ just like the Anon I'm responding to.
When it was a fashion statement more than a genre with any worthwhile substance in its music. When it became more disposable than pop, while being less interesting, experimental, and unnecessarily grating to listen to. When looking punk takes up more time than understanding punk.
Punk rock has always been a bore.
It's mostly music that got some inspiration from punk but actually had good melodies which was better.
Like even Clash realised pure punk was so shit they mixed ska and reggae in their songs. Pure punk like the Pistols has always been a bore.
Most of the Ramones' stuff is boring, except for a few funny tunes.
And hardcore is the worst shit ever.
Also stuff like Black Flag is not even music, it's some roid rage psychotic episodes shouted on the stage.
I thought I completely grew out of punk in my mid 20s when I got deep into studying classical and jazz, but then I saw Iggy Pop live and it was the most fun I had had in years so I decided it was pretty cool after all.
no music genre is worth my time
i stopped working at mcdonalds
working at subway isn't an upgrade, anon
I can't stand the vocals or the scene. I really want to like punk but it's a grating BPD fest
When I realized I was older than all of the people making it.
You know who Nick Traina is OP?
Never liked any punk outside of the Oi! subgenre, take that as you will.

Punk rock will always be worth my time.
Punk rockers, on the other hand, are a bunch of insufferable incels that I want nothing to do with!
Henry Rollins and his greedy trust fund band Baskin Roberts detected.

Punk rock was of a time and of a place, and that time and place has largely passed. As it has for most rock music actually.
when I was 12 and tried listening to Black Flag

Black Flag was basically the Death Grips of the 80s
>Pure punk like the Pistols has always been a bore.
the oi! subgenre is entirely a Pistols ripoff and it's the only one with real bangers
When The Clash released a pub rock album and got called punk. Fuck those Scots.
>he doesn't listen to everything
Shig
>he listens to everything
spotted the pleb
when they started going the way of the tranny instead of the fascist.
I listen to a lot of 70s prog, but also really like that first anti nowhere leage album
I think I'd listen to more punk if it had singers like animal
When I became a MIGAtard and started being perma-triggered
a few punk-rock, post-punk and oi! tunes will always be classics. it's either good pop or crap.
also, pic-related to answer your question

About the time I realized I was too much of an autist to attend live shows
