Incredibly based. A-bodies are fantastic. I still find it funny how bad the build quality of Mopars were from the factory even in period literature, but they sure bring a smile to your face when it all goes right
Geared far too long, Porsche owners club was full of IT freaks and people who went to university, buying from Porsche was idiotic and drawn out when it didn't need to be, most Porsche owners are Freemasons, it sounded like a bag of hammers at idle, the brakes were over servo'd and there was unbearable wind noise from 90-110mph. It was fast and it handled fairly well but it isn't anywhere near as good as the Ferrari 360 I should have bought instead. In fact, it wasn't as good as the 944 Turbo despite being the "proper Porsche"
>ferrari 360
Out of the fire and into the pan. >944 turbo
Agreed but after the incident where the Turbo S was faster than the 911 it was over. Literally died for that sin. Also a pos to work on and maintain. 3k timing belt/water pump interval is Ferrari tier madness.
spent $5k on a REALLY RUSTY na miata and blew another $6k on it to have another shop fix all the mechanical problems it had. car didn’t pass emissions so i tackled on some small jobs on it myself and now it won’t start and it’s been sitting in my yard for two years now.
i hope all of you not only laugh at me but learn from my mistakes, wrenchlet br/o/s.

i live in the deep south and was just getting really into cars. i’m pretty stupid and didn’t know what the fuck rust looked like. again, i’m stupid. always thought rust was just a “cosmetic” thing like you see on so many old muscle cars here and there so i didn’t think much of it..until i poked at the rust with my finger and chipped off a bunch of the unibody with no effort. >how
the car was also really low. i’m not a small guy. i was being a bitch and didn’t wanna get on the floor to inspect for leaks or anything before i drove off with it…which i deeply regret. i trusted some homosexual’s word and got played.
i also got title jumped for it. there’s so many levels of JUST with this purchase that screwed me simply because i was naive. fuck miata owners. worst race i’ve ever met in my life. on the plus side, the car really just needs the CAS timing adjusted properly and it should be good to go (i think?)
Had 4 of the things. They are old cars now unfortunately, so they will have old car problems.
Not all mx5 people are bad, but they’re in vogue now, so the … amount of people who own them and are cunts is unfortunately increasing.
Sucks you got ripped tho, but hey, you can learn shit from it and have a functioning car later.
'86 T-bird. 5.0 (old non-rollercam style) motor and very plain. The thing was TIGHT, very well built, comfortable and ran beautifully, but it was just - man, it was ugly. It had that blunt nose and slashed-off rear deck. I wouldn't give a fuck now, but when I was 20 years old, I just couldn't take it.
When I was first buying this car, I was convinced that I need a solid off road vehicle because I was planning to work in a national forest or very sketch logging roads.
I bought a 2008 Suzuki Vitara.
It had low miles and apparently sat in someone’s backyard for years.
I bought the car, and 2 months into my job I quit because my boss refused to pay me. On the drive back to my parents house, one of the tires had the rubber peel off and start smashing into my taillight. The wire webbing underneath the rubber caused my car to start fish tailing, so instead of swerving into oncoming traffic, I aimed for the ditch.
The other problem with this vehicle is that it was very too heavy. After my adventure in the north woods I got a job in Iowa. Iowa is a very flat, windy, boring state. Often I would drive on the highway and had to counter the force of the high speed winds blowing against my top-heavy vehicle.
It also wasn’t fuel efficient.
Arguably my worst car purchase, but with each shot box car that I owned, I learned more about cars 🙂
Bought a legacy with a bad transmission from a shady used car dealer. He tried to fuck me and i got the dmv fraud division involved and he eventually paid for a new tranny after months of me being without a car. Picrel
'95 Eclipse with the plymouth motor and 5-spd back in HS.
Head gasket was on its way out (replaced with MLS myself) and the plastic speed sender gear in the transmission was long-gone so the odometer was a lie and the speedometer didn't work.
It had bubbling purple tint on all the windows that I spent hours removing the residue from. It had lots of shitty wiring and busted panels from a previous owner's audio job. It had a horrifyingly tinny fartcan so I kept the midpipe and put a stock gs-t muffler on, much better.
Taught me how to do standing burnouts.
I loved it, and it looked amazing imo, but it was the worst I've had (out of 6).

Fell for the model 3 meme in 2019. Dont necessarily regret it because I was able to sell it just before the price tanked and didn’t fall for the snake oil software and got the cheapest model
I bought a sports car. Turns out all cars, even sports cars, are extremely gay and boring compared to motorcycles.
I bought an American car
I bought a classic Mopar to restore (again). It's based.
came here to post this.

What shithole still requires an na to still pass emissions?
If you want to feel worse, this is what a $12k Z3 2.8 looks like.
buying VAG car
Vauxhall Corsa with a measly 65hp. Just really underpowered
