More senses engaged in focusing, easier it is to control the mind.
Don't need beads to count tho. You can use a clicker, or even count on the knuckles of your hand.

Most religions are anti-homo. The beads double as anal beads, and you test the homosexuality of those claiming to be believers by using the beads on them, if they moan in pleasure they're not a true believer. It's like an ancient lie detector.
The browner and larger the beads, the more liars you have detected, and weeded out.

They're a based pastime, calms and occupies the mind. They help one focus and like it was pointed out, keep track of mantras and prayers.
In some cultures like Greece, Turkey and the Caucasus, the prayer beads have become masculine symbols and are used by traditionalist men and criminals alike, who want to project a tough and manly image. So their purpose is religious/spiritual, recreational and ornamental.

Because noobs only say a few prayers, and then complain that it didn't manifest, but people who know what's up will say thousands of prayers, and do it because they notice results from it.

      >say thousands of prayers to get results
So you literally need to spend 99% of your time in prayer to get any kind of result?

How many hours would you be willing to pray to have a major dream manifest.
That's basically what mantras are. People do them for 2-3 hours a day for years. What keeps them motivated? Obviously because they are seeing results.

Not 99% of the time. Just a third. Same as you sleep
