The image you posted shows a person holding a TCL power bank with a rubber band around it. TCL is a Chinese electronics company that manufactures a variety of products, including smartphones, televisions, and power banks.

The rubber band could be used to secure the power bank to a phone or other device so that it can be charged on the go. It could also be used to keep the power bank from moving around in a bag or purse.

TCL power banks are known for their high capacity and fast charging capabilities. They are also relatively affordable, making them a good value for the price.

it's not a power bank it's a mobile wifi router.

the TCL router has a six hour battery life and is not wired to the other device, so I doubt the other device is portable power bank. It is something that uses the wifi.

You could be right. Or it could be that the owner likes to carry an extra power bank with it for when the internal battery runs out.

the key to this is that the polack in this thread say it should be illegal:

          [...]

So I think the other device is something other than a powerbank. Is it some kind of data stealing set-up or rfid grabbing thing?

            maybe he just means this:
            >he probably means "how is it legal to carry a public wifi hotspot and everyone can connect to it and I can potentially steal your data"

I had a weird 3 minute ban for trollposting, (for what, I've no clue) so I stepped away for a few minutes.

My personal lean for the other thing is being a powerbank given the context of portable technology. But if not, is what's the latest in portable, pre-packaged, hacking gizmos like the Flipper? Any that comes in a nondescript black box?

ok, if the other device is a powerbank, it's a wireless one. does that look like any wireless power bank anon knows of?
