What’s the point of fashion?
If you’re ugly, you just look like a piece of shit with fancy sparkles sprinkled on you with red bottoms, at the end of the day you’re still shit just fancier looking shit

I feel the same way. You can still be yourself though, fren.

I understand Anons, it’s about how we feel about how we perceive ourselves, even if we’re ugly if we atleast look good in the mirror we feel better about ourselves, I posted this thread hoping someone will give me another reason than what I already know.. i’m really depressed today

While true if you’re not attractive, wearing nice clothes isn’t going to make you attractive, it couldn’t hurt. Just because someone else is more attractive than you, what are you supposed to do, just have a nice day and give up?

Everyone is responsible for his life before God who has given it to him. It is God who remains the sovereign Master of life. We are obliged to accept life gratefully and preserve it for his honor and the salvation of our souls. We are stewards, not owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of.

Suicide contradicts the natural inclination of the human being to preserve and perpetuate his life. It is gravely contrary to the just love of self. It likewise offends love of neighbor because it unjustly breaks the ties of solidarity with family, nation, and other human societies to which we continue to have obligations. Suicide is contrary to love for the living God.

Committing suicide is a mortal sin. (Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.)

I always wonder that when I see ugly people who obviously try too hard to compensate with fashion. But if the fashion is just moderate, it’s fine.

Huh. When I see confident ugly people who give their best in fashion I’m super happy that they found a way to feel comfortable with their appearance.
      Quite the accomplishment, IMO
I also take notes because I usually can learn something new from them.

i’ve been feeling the same way lately… to the point where i just wanna throw all my clothes away and just wear same t-shirt and pants everyday. i’ve been overthinking fashion for so long now and suddenly it hits me that none of it matters if nobody in my life even wants to be around me… Turns out I’ve been using fashion as a crutch this whole time to make up for my crippling insecurities that I’m not an interesting enough person on my own…

The clothes you wear actually affects your mood and self esteem. Stop cucking yourself out of self esteem you can literally buy

Fashion isn’t just about looking cute. If you’re a man then ugliness isn’t a big deal. But I guess you’re a girl since you mentioned red bottoms. Too bad. Plastic surgery is always an option.

What’s the point of music? What’s the point of art? Who hecking cares, some people like it. You’re right it’s only gonna somewhat improve the way you look; if you don’t like the way you look then stop worrying about it so much. Everyone has their own shortcomings they can’t change, the difference is some people learn to accept them and some people just sit around blaming everything else on them and act surprised when they turn out unhappy. Good luck anon.

That’s the gotcha of fashion: if you’re pretty, you don’t need it. If you’re not, it doesn’t help.

i’m a stupid uggo as well, i just dress skate sort of, flannels coach jackets beanie hats, i like hats because they hide my ugly heckin face and keep my hair in place.
I don’t express who i am because there’s no point if you’re ugly as heck, you look like a larper or a try hard troll, i just wear what doesn’t stand out

As with all self-improvement, the point is to cultivate yourself into the best version of yourself. You’re not hiding or changing anything or pretending to be something you’re not. It is present yourself as who you truly are without pretence. This is the point of true fashion.

Not true, it makes you look confident and self assured
Even pretty people are insecure. Looking like you know who you are and you dress for yourself makes people respect and even envy you
