You can get them legally through Left Hand Utes, if you provide your own GTO/G8/SS/Caprice PPV for them to body swap. Otherwise, the Feds have been known to seize and crush illegally imported cars because no fun allowed. Also, RHD sucks in a LHD country.

      >body swap

How do you body swap a unibody?

They swap the body around your original firewall with the US VIN, then USDM LHD parts and US emissions compliant drivetrain get swapped onto the donor body. This makes it still legally considered the original car that was sold here in the first place, and you get your ute or wagon.

They're generally made to request, so it's either what the owner wanted, what the car had originally, or what the owner had on hand. They're not making exact replicas of Maloos or other HSVs.

Its not that bad. I have a Celica GT-Four RHD in the states. Only a problem when going through drive thru's and such. But I don't anyway, so doesnt affect me really. Otherwise, driving RHD in a LHD country is perfectly fine.

That's illegal, and exactly how illegal it is depends on what you do exactly and what state you're in.
If you use someone else's license plates that'ss a felony
If you use your own plates from another car, you'll likely be fine until you get pulled over for something else, at which point they run your plates and find them not to match the car. This can be considered driving without license plates, or it could be fraud, depending on how badly they want to fuck you. If they think the car is an illegal import they might have the feds seize and crush it.

If paco can drive without a license than why can’t he import a car

Because that's mostly a myth and most of them drive with Mexican lisences which are valid for 90s days after each entry. Most legal Mexicans just go back for a day every 3 months. They can't be fucked over unless feds can prove they drove for more than 90 days with it. If they're an illegal there is zero way to prove which day they entered.

If they’re illegal they should be deporting them regardless of what they were originally stopped for.

So much for land of the free. Next you're gonna tell me that lane filtering on a motorcycle is illegal.

you can import the car, but if you want to drive it on public roads then you'll have to get it crash tested

Lane filtering is legal in like half a dozen states.
It used to only be California (surprisingly) but in the last decade or so other states have passed new laws allowing it.

        >Because the legal way takes more time or is near impossible?

        Ah yes
Risking prison time, felony charges, document forgery, physically altering VINs and VIN stamps all over is much easier than just paying an importer to get you a road worthy one or just reading the laws to do it properly yourself

You are nagger brained in both attitude and iq

Is there some limit on plates that you guys have to use? Doesn't registering a "new to the system" vehicle not just generate a new plate?

No limit, it would work just fine either way.
