By reliable, do you mean definitely won't break down on you ever? If that's the case, you will not find anything that cheap.

    >quick
    >lots of space
    >reliable
    >under 5k

You can only choose 1, maybe 2 of those criteria under 5k.

I don't think you can't even get a used Corolla for that price anon. You can get reliability and space in an 90s Camry, but you won't be going fast.

What does semi fast mean to you?

i really liked my rsx, it becomes a mini pick up truck when you fold down the rear seats, its not really fast but the type s is a lot of fun to drive and you can probably find one for 5k

Seconding rsx. It doesn't carry the integra nameplate tax even though it is one

      You get the point.
      >240 HP V8
      >limited slip rear
      >huge trunk, tons of interior room
Basically a Mustang for the retired crowd

          >your suburban
MY suburban, buddy. Also, thanks to our moronic economy, these are worth more than $5k, which is what the OP asked. Feels bad man

Your suburban also has a 1500 lbs on the Vic. 45 More ponies isn't going to make up the difference there.

They make cheap crate motors for it. And it is semi fast as it is

Right, which is why it’s so confusing to me that anon is offering one as a “semi-fast” roomy car. It’s just not fast.

My first car was a vic. Damn thing was a tank, but the transmission failed. I did, however, only pay 1300 for it back in 05, and it lasted me two years with no major issues so can't complain. Sold it to the dad of my buddy for 500 who didn't have a car after I got a 05 spectra with 41K on it for 3200, telling them that this was only meant to hold him off, and it's GOING to give out soon. He proceeded to brag about how much that car was actually worth and that I could have easily gotten 3000 for it and I was a fool for selling it to him that cheap. It died on him a week later, three months from the date I sold him it. Some people, man.

Why not get a shitbox and a motorbike? seems like the best way to go if you're a adrenaline junkie on a budget as you can pick up a gsxr1000 for under 4k that will smoke 6 figure sports cars in acceleration
