    top pic mechanical for 1600€
mines automatic. it’s hard to find the exact same one
this the version with the square (star inside) logo.
others have the more known star

any other sites where i’d check on vintage watches than chrono24 ?

watches are either a tool (cheap, durable, tells you the time), or an investment
If you cant pass it on to your children, and if you cant just lob it in the river when it stops working then youre wasting your money (and your vril)

I’d buy a San Martin and then save my money until I could afford something nice, rather than spunking it away on shitters.

You have to be stupid to save money for a watch. Watch should be bought just for fun with extra money, not by saveing up for that. And I dont care about owning one 1000€ watch, I want 6 different and fun watches and not stress about them if they het scratches

Honestly at that price I just wouldn’t have six watches. If I had $1000 to spend I’d probably go Lorier Neptune for $500, the Sugess version of the Seagull 1963 with the little star counter-weight (pic related) for $210, and a G-Shock digital square in whatever colorway I prefer for around $80. Leave a couple hundred on the table, potentially for straps or whatever else.
