Nothing. A lot of people have moved to Lemmy instances, and when Reddit inevitably fucks up again in the future, there are actually good alternatives available now.
Lemmy is mostly americans who can't stop screaming about elon musk and donald trump every day. It's the segment of reddit that even other redditors get sick of. I'm thinking of going back to it if it ever catches on enough to have more small communities, but right now it's just american political crap and the worst memes I have ever seen.
It'll just get put on the blacklist that all instances will be bullied into using, and if they don't use it to block the based instance they will themselves go on the blacklist

is right, 95% of the content is about mutt politics, it's very tiring.
Who cares? Reddit is a shithole full of subhumans. The one "people" who give a fuck about reddit are active oxygen thieves. Everyone that uses reddit could die today and the world would be better off. Kill yourself at the earliest convenience, you fucking nagger.
everyone hates the mods to begin with, the apps that they were using allowed to autoban people in multiple subreddits, moderate more subreddits than should be allowed. normal non-insane people do not miss third party apps at all.
A bunch of clout chasers aren't going to give up their status over some API changes for apps they'll never use. They all use the official app like the homosexuals they are
Jannies aren't the whole community, when the protest dragged on for more than a few hours the vast majority of users (lurkers) became annoyed and stopped supporting it. Also, reddit mods never had any real power, the admins always had complete control and could remove the mods and close subreddits at their own discretion, and there's always some useful idiot that wants to be a mod.
Nothing. What did people expect? >give VC funded memecorp your data and full butthole access to your shitty "community" >they eventually flush the toilet when the time comes to tighten their belts >you can do nothing because le corp has full control >get angry about it
lol
I stopped using reddit after they killed Apollo. Should've known better after they did it the first time to Alien Blue.
I was worried I was going to become ignorant to what's happening in the world. Turns out being ignorant rules. Never looking back. also i've been using this site since 2007, so suck my dick newfags
Same. Haven't touched the website since July, can't say I miss it after the usual withdrawal phase. Went there for the lolz yesterday and that place looks like a ghost town, and the little discussion they have is either retards or bots. Good riddance.

Haven't touched reddit voluntarily (But still visit it through search engine links) since June and I'm doing absolutely fine. Better even. Any feelings of attachment to that shithole are just residual feelings/addiction and subside after a week or two. Its extremely comfy just using LULZ.

>Posts on LULZ but too retarded to patch their favourite app with vanced to get it working again
Is this the state of this fucking board?
This shit was doomed from the start due to the protest organizers setting an end date to it, thus causing inconsistencies among different subreddits that led to the whole "Reddit Blackout" thing falling apart.
Reddit was never going to cave. Their backs are to the wall. They need revenue and nothing else is working. They would sooner let the company die than give in.
The only functional protest would have been as follows: >Get a working search engine into common parlance, nothing works well at the moment due to SEO which leads people naturally to shitty aggregators like Reddit. Muh Yandex, fuck off. >Scrape the shit out of the subreddits they use to ensure their obsolescence >Lock the subreddits or render them unusable as was seen during the protests >Self-host and refer to their own forums until people actually migrate
Without any of that people might go into withdrawal for a few days but they'll come back for their dopamine drip in just a few days because it's the familiar thing. When the death knell of enshittification sounds, then the best bet for anyone unhappy with it is to take the whole platform and threaten to accelerate it into the stage that signals the death of the company well before any shareholders or execs have milked any value out of the userbase.
They didn't own it. Engaging with hobbies where the concept of "picking up your ball and leaving" doesn't work is doomed to corporate enshittification eventually.
That's not to say that the mods were even the end-users, there's been enough moderator corruption on Reddit to indicate that they're also shit.
wtf did I miss? >reddit decides to ack itself with API nonsense >trannies seethe
[stopped paying attention here] >trannies fight back by banning pictures of a state propagandist >shockingly this accomplishes nothing >trannies cave
honestly i don't know what made them believe they could succeed. reddit moderation is an unchecked and unbalanced power that silences anyone who disagrees with the current thing. there are people who have been shadow-banned and talked to themselves for months for upvoting or downvoting something "wrong". not even expressing their opinion, just for voting. fascism, which you keep quiet about when it is applied to someone else and maybe even enjoy it, is bound to come around one day.
the homosexual who created reddit killing himself afterward and not before
>What went wrong?
retards expecting reddit mods to actually follow through and give up their power

sounds just like reddit then
Yeah the main instances are shitty (so are those one Mastodon), but there will be the inevitable based instance that grows large one day.
It'll just get put on the blacklist that all instances will be bullied into using, and if they don't use it to block the based instance they will themselves go on the blacklist
So what?
Any good Mastodon instances?
is right, 95% of the content is about mutt politics, it's very tiring.
the alt-Youtubes like Odysee have the same problem
>Lemmy
>commie tranny central
Might as well be reddit
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/816#issuecomment-644694838
Lmao /uhg/ tranny is seething when somebody says the truth about Navalny
Kys before I come there and send you to the front
it has worse moderation than Reddit
>good
no

YouTube ReVanced has patches that let you use personal API keys to get old apps working just the same as before
Most plebbitors are iToddlers tho

Same. The only things I missed are image boards, which ironically LULZ isn't really good at. At this rate I have to cave and use TikTok
>Posts on LULZ but too retarded to patch their favourite app with vanced to get it working again
Is this the state of this fucking board?
>Not technology related
Jannies you know the drill
no alternative was available but now because of this, people are working on it. i don't see reddit staying relevant for many years.

trannies lost power
reddit mods bent the knee to retain their fiefdoms
>the protest is over
>because they banned everyone involved and replaced the mods on every popular sub with their own cutated bootlickers
ah yes, totally ~~*over*~~
curated*

>John Oliver rule
Redditurds are something else
>the power of Reddit
The only sub I use has already been banned because of homosexual mods deliberately spamming in it, so it's too little too late.
Those fuckers should have been mulched years ago.
Redditors being pussies and protesting instead of just migrating to an alternative.
>Reddit won.
WE DID IT REDDIT!!!!
go back
Simple answer is Redditors need Reddit just as much as Reddit needs Redditors
They will suck up any shit the company throws at them
wtf did I miss?
>reddit decides to ack itself with API nonsense
>trannies seethe
[stopped paying attention here]
>trannies fight back by banning pictures of a state propagandist
>shockingly this accomplishes nothing

'bout right?
Redditors have no power in the real world end they just discovered they don’t on their own site as well.
I honestly don't remember what the protests were over.
Redditors exist to lose and fail. It is a balance which must exist within reality.
