What the fuck was wrong with Dijkstra?

What the fuck was wrong with Dijkstra?
>As a university professor for much of his life, Dijkstra saw teaching not just as a required activity but as a serious research endeavour.[6] His approach to teaching was unconventional.[17] His lecturing style has been described as idiosyncratic. When lecturing, the long pauses between sentences have often been attributed to the fact that English is not Dijkstra's first language. However the pauses also served as a way for him to think on his feet and he was regarded as a quick and deep thinker while engaged in the act of lecturing. His courses for students in Austin had little to do with computer science but they dealt with the presentation of mathematical proofs.[10] At the beginning of each semester, he would take a photo of each of his students in order to memorize their names. He never followed a textbook, with the possible exception of his own while it was under preparation. When lecturing, he would write proofs in chalk on a blackboard rather than using overhead foils. He invited the students to suggest ideas, which he then explored, or refused to explore because they violated some of his tenets. He assigned challenging homework problems, and would study his students' solutions thoroughly. He conducted his final examinations orally, over a whole week. Each student was examined in Dijkstra's office or home, and an exam lasted several hours.[6]

He was incredibly based and would hate the state of computer science today.
      >Dijkstra also opposed the inclusion of software engineering under the umbrella of academic computer science. He wrote that, "As economics is known as "The Miserable Science", software engineering should be known as "The Doomed Discipline", doomed because it cannot even approach its goal since its goal is self-contradictory." And "software engineering has accepted as its charter 'How to program if you cannot.'"[19]

Nothing? This seems absolutely based on all counts.

Looks like he found the right path.

i like to believe he would intermediately switc h to computational linguistics and spend all his time trying to make GPUs do what humans fail to do all too often.
and then punish those who use COBOL

I don't think LULZ is very academic. Actual comp sci students are a bit homeless on LULZ

It would surely get overwhelmed within weeks in much the same way that LULZ and LULZ have been.

I don't know why LULZ doesn't accept us. Their board is dead anyway

Don't they? Computer science threads work as well there as all other actual-science threads. That is to say, not very, for they tend to get overwhelmed with idiots and schizos and so the people with something interesting to say stay away; but they're not exactly discouraged or Wrong board'd either.

In this very moment, I find myself in a state of unparalleled intellect and wisdom, superior to the common denizens of this digital realm. My cognitive faculties have been honed to an extent that mere mortals could only dream of achieving. The profundity of my knowledge transcends that of even the most erudite scholars, for I am illuminated by the brilliance of my mental prowess.

However, it is with a heavy heart that I must reluctantly engage in the act of responding to your query. Alas, the mundane limitations of this platform compel me to take this course of action, despite my initial inclination to abstain. In my infinite wisdom, I choose to elucidate, but not without a subtle nod to the pedantic detail you have astutely observed.
