What name did other tranners pick and how did you pick it?
>MTF, Brooke
It's like a shortening of "Brooklyn" which is a name I stole from a friend of a cousin. I've considered having my legal name be Brooklyn and also using the name Brooke, but I'm still not sure if I like these as one is the name of a place and the other is a homophone of a word. Even though I've never really told anyone about this it's sort of stuck for over 10 years, and when I write down a list of other potential names none of them particularly stand out to me
It's also awkward that my given name is unisex, as I don't necessarily dislike it but still kind of wish I had a more feminine name, and there are practical benefits to keeping my given name for now, as it can go both ways and doesn't out me or create awkward situations
ftm, luke
combination of tulpa and some online shit, and it being a very common bong name
>MtF
>Samantha (usually just Sam)

Thought of Nina the other day and I don’t hate it. Girly but not a mouthful or too much imo. Also I don’t know a Nina helps to not have a spitsecond thought of a person I have the same name as while I’m shoving a toy in my ass
nb, anika
similar vibe to my birth name
I'm sort of doing name phases.
My preferred name would be Cassandra but I don't feel comfortable using it until I pass much better. And have bigger tits, lmao.
It's a pretty femmy name, so I want to feel like I could live up to it.

I picked it because it's a very ancient name with a lot of personal significance to me, since I tend to be right about a lot of things that stupid people don't get.
Lots of other Arizona anons here, might as well post.
My birth name started with a K. So I wanted a K name. I picked a "Ka" name which is very common around here.
For instance our last governor election was Katie Hobbs vs. Kari Lake.
Some of the reason for the Ka names being common I think has to do with a large number of German settlers in the Western US. So names that start with a C like Catherine start with a K here instead.
For my own name, Karissa, there's a few factors. The biggest proximate one is I saw some girls with the name on tinder and was drawn to it.
Looking back though, in Middle School I had a run in with a girl named Carissa. She didn't go to our school but hung out with the other girls and was considered sort of the leader of the "Hot Girls" and even bullied me a bit. So I figured maybe I got the name from her sort of.
But then I told my mom and found out that when I was 2 one of the neighbors had a kid named Karissa and I spent a lot of time over there with them and so I must've latched on it then.
So yea, basically I'm a skinwalker but I have no idea who I'm skinwalking.
Oh also another big factor in picking: I didn't know anybody else in my personal life with the name so I wasn't taking it from anyone too close to me. Closest being some girl from middle school I hadn't seen in 10 years.
im yet to use it but Lucy. i think it's going to be a long time before i change my name but i want to do it soon but go by my old name mainly because i want to get rid of my family name sooner and I've already had my name changed before so i don't want to waste my two remaining name changed when i could do it with just one
I also chose Brooke!
I knew it was a unisex name when I made the change, and I've kind of grown to like that. It's fun seeing how other people (ie baristas) choose to spell it. I feel like it gives me a decent, indirect gauge to see how someone might gender me compared to how I'm feeling that day. Interestingly, cis women almost always spell it with an e, and cis guys usually spell it something like 60/40 with/without.
I like a lot of the connotations and imagery that come with the name, too. It's very pretty.
damn I kind of don't like that it's also kind of a unisex name, though I've never seen it used for men or spelled without the E
>I like a lot of the connotations and imagery that come with the name, too. It's very pretty.
same, I don't know why
