    >no accessories
    >no texture
    >no patterns
    >no interesting color setups

If you do all those things you will be the ultimate npc

Most often it is silhouette/fit and color in my opinion
Exactly like in this pic the silhouette and colors are so stock standard
It’s very safe and thus very boring
The average person really REALLY sucks at things regarding color especially I feel
Sometimes I think this might even be related to the aphantasia thing

These clothes are very dated, but also each piece is at their default color with no overal color theme.
Dark navy is the default denim color
Dark brown is the default leather jacket color
Tan is the default suede boots color

He’s literally dressing like a "grey man", trying not to be noticed.

Interested in the "dated" point. Can you please post an objectively current and modern early 2024 version of a simple fit like this please?

Dark denim has been out for 15 years, so out that they might be back.
Something more current, as acceptable worksafe pants, would be pleated pants with a larger fit.

Overall, people who dressed like OP’s pic (at last a decade ago), 30 something middle-class men with an office job, dress like picrel in 2023.

Are the people on this sub trying to have a clown off or something the outfit shown looks so perfectly acceptable he doesn’t need some restarted ricks owens kingdom hearts shoes?

No one is saying it isn’t acceptable, just that it’s boring. Boring generally means acceptable because something that many would consider unacceptable is not boring.

Honestly find it really hard to believe that dark jeans are "dated."

Unless you’re a black r&b artist or a multimillionaire why should you dress to show off anyway? looks kinda stupid when guys try hard unless they’re rich or someone famous

If your gf is a model or you have some ridiculous high level artistic skill then maybe it’s OK too

No other reason to do that

I don’t think it’s boring but the autists here will tell you what they told you. People want to be special snowflakes and act like this fit is above them.
