My male cousin, same age as me, used to ask me to let him put his mouth on my penis and balls when we were like 5 years old. Did it a couple of times. Only occurred to me recently that he was probably being molested by my uncle. I definitely wouldn't say I turned out normal but I'm heterosexual and don't have any weird fetishes so I don't think it really affected me much.

Those scenes of Tony Soprano as a kid with his toxic mother, and the scenes of Don Draper around gross people as a kid really hit me hard.... those characters were like a deer-in-headlights powerlessly witnessing an ugly world around them and the vibe of that resonated within me, probably because growing up I also experienced similar shit like

I don't have "trauma" over anything. My life is shit and it's my own fault. Nothing bad ever really happened to me and I still chose to just isolate in my room right after hs and I'm stunted now in my late 20s and scared to go out and live. Never been to a party or concert or travelled or on a plane alone. Minimal dating experience. I'm a loser.

If youve got nothing to lose and see yourself continuing to do nothing- go to your doctor and try taking some ssris like wellbutrin. That shit can actually work to help you break out of a rut

Addiction, the lost weekend does so much justice to that agonizing existence. The self pity, the relationships, the shame, scheming, thinking suicide is the only answer. I just don't like the Nancy Reagan "just say no" ending.

When I was a kid I had gynecomastia AKA manboobs. It's a medical condition. They were big enough to cup. I remember a kid told me without a hint of malice that I was bigger than his mom. Guys used to stare at me when I ran at gym class. I started wearing my mom's sports bras in middle school. I had them surgically removed when I was 12. My chest and nipples look fucked up and scarred because of it. I haven't taken off my shirt in public in like 20 years. Obviously never been with a woman.

    I don't think there's a movie about that.

I burst into tears during Whiplash because J.K. Simmons character was extremely similar to my dad, only he wanted me to be good at sports rather than music. Even the way Simmons spoke and moved reminded me of when my dad would be mad at be for showing weakness. I like to think if I were in that situation with a stranger I'd fucking explode and beat the shit out of them but I'd probably end up crying and fleeing the room. My dad forced me into basketball, baseball, soccer and karate despite my protests. At one point I was on my hands and knees pleading with him not to make me play basketball because it was humiliating. I haven't seen him in over a decade.

My friend's dad is a prison guard and a really soi version of JK Simmons. I always think of my friend's gay dad when I see JK, especially spider man because my friend's dad's defining factor was how cheap he was.

It wasn't really traumatic, but I had to spend a night in jail after getting in a fight with my gf and a couple white knights at school.
For some reason it made me super popular afterwards and I still don't understand.

Oh, actually Take Shelter and Donnie Darko (sort of) come close.
The main thing they lack is the initial mania. But what they both do get right is the fact that the schizo was right all along. For that, I commend them.

Any movies about being sexually molested by the public school system?
At least 1 period a day was dedicated to STDs, contraception, births gone wrong, and other horrifying sex propaganda.

heriditary. when the mom starts wailing when finding out her daughter is dead. That actress got the batshit insane screaming down very well.

Honestly hate it when movies depict a grieving mother. that shit is really uncomfortable and scarring irl.

I fell in love with a girl and we were just about to have kids but then it turns out she's very likely to die during childbirth. I managed to find one expert who said he knew how to help her but after I killed a bunch of younglings for him he just declared himself the emperor and told me my girl died anyway.
I still haven't found a good movie to match my trauma, I'm hoping for some recommendations.
