          you are dumb

I used to be a menswear victim too lol

This looks way too tryhard and contrived in 90% of the situations you’ll be in

Idk how to explain my entire journey to you

I just realized I was buying all these overpriced junk because a bunch of online boomers think its the holy grail. allen edmonds, redwings, vineyard vines, brooks brothers, mtm suits, etc I just got really sick of it by the end. Most people aren’t impressed. They usually just feel resentment. It’s a turnoff for women because you look insecure making your clothing as a statement.

          >those brands
lmao you were NOT a menswear victim pal

some of the boomer advice are good but you cant use them all especially if you are in your 30s like the majority of people starting to be interested in menswear
there is a middleground to have, I agree some of the advice are stupid like never take off your jacket, dont use belts, always a tie blablabla
also, you should never buy shit brand new unless you are rich as heck, pre owned or factory second cost not even half the price for an good quality item like leather shoes
          >caring what women think, at all
they have the brain of a child, if they see dicaprio wearing suits they will love suits, if they see the local chad wearing distressed jeans with pissyellow stan smith they will like it too

if you’re in your 30s and you can’t afford a new pair of shoes something has gone horribly wrong. I’m not saying it’s your fault, shit happens, but oof

Even poor people generally don’t stoop to wearing someone else’s foot fungus you dirty disgusting freak

Try DSW, you should be able to get a pair of passable looking dress shoes for $200 or less

I remember this board used to have arguments over used shoes back when this was seriously getting pushed by reddit, I’m just kind of amazed that people are still unironically advocating it

Do you buy used underwear too? I mean god forbid you not wear a prestigious brand of briefs, much better to have some dude’s brown streaks as long as it says "balenciaga" on it right?

please dont buy factory second items that were never wore and more often than not have invisible blemishes and defects, for a quarter of the initial price but instead buy new shoes with shit leather and glued soles from this website that will last you three months goy

            also
            >being afraid of foot fungus
            lmao

            troll tier advice
            avoid DSW like the plaque.

            he is stupid

It’s about 8 pairs of allen edmonds, 2 carmina, 1 peal & co for brooks bros, a bunch of sneakers, and some expensive hiking boots, if that’s insufficient information to continue the name calling then you’ll just have to find another way

call me broke all you want it’s ok but please post shoe collection

oh I forgot to count my giro empire slx if that counts as "shoes"

the fact that you need photographic evidence to believe some boastful internet fantasist would actually be able to afford SHOES (imagine!) deserves a smug anime girl dot gif but that just seems like too much effort for this conversation, I hope things turn around for you soon

I’m cringing. Do you people even have awareness

or better yet just buy some cheap shoes at DSW. kenneth cole or something. it’s not going to kill you. you’ll probably have more money later in life when you can recover from whatever this is. please don’t wear used shoes unless you are literally homeless and living under a bridge and a stray cat steals your shoes

Where do you live, since you mentionned Allen Edmonds I assume you are american.
I cannot the difference in treatments or just in females mires I get from wearing normal humans clothes vs being well dressed
Ofc if you dress like a 80yo grandpa with the hat and all you will get strange looks
Are you good looking or are you anout of shape ugly goblin? It does have its dose of importance too

Why, just hecking why are there 2 buttons on the waistband? Did you buy a pair of pants with one button then it button broke loose causing you embarrassment? No. What’s next, a belt and suspenders just to make extra sure your pants don’t drop. This looks ridiculous, I hate that double button so much it’s unreal.

    • Anonymous says:

anon, a wide waistband will pucker if it’s only got one button. you either make it narrower or you cover it with a belt or you put two buttons. this isn’t rocket surgery.

      • Anonymous says:

        >we created a problem so that you now need two buttons
no, you don’t need a 5 inch waistband, a normal waistband was good enough for hundreds if not thousands of years across hundreds of different countries.
