Nobels ODR-1. Flatter mids than the tube screamers and clones. It gives a bit of fattness to sterile clean tones, will push a clean channel into breakup, and give a distorted channel more girth. It is not a substitute for a fuzz or distortion.
unironically BOSS DS1, i own a shitload of od's, fuzzes, distortions and BOSS DS1 is just the right sound even if it only does one thing. tone at 9 oclock and gain just a hair under dimed
i'm a big tube screamer nerd. my favorite ts808 clone is the EHX east river drive. put that fucker in front of a tube amp, and the story writes itself. same goes for the EHX soul food.
joyo made a series of pedals called ____ sound (american sound, california sound, british sound). super cheap. you used to be able to get them for under $30. great in front of a clean tube amp. also worked fantastic as a DI preamp
and my all time favorite distortion pedal is the EHX metal muff. can be used as a fuzz or distortion pedal. all you need is a tube amp.
This is the latest I bought (DOD Studio Bifet Preamp) and I've really enjoyed experimenting with it. Similar usage how Yngwie used DOD overdrive preamp 250

This is how it sounds when driving it into Neural Amp Modeler "Marshall Plexi 67" Tonehunt profile and sending it into some Marshall vintage IRs.

Kinda hard to explain what this pedal does, but it seems to reinforce highs and make the ratio to bass response lower while driving the signal. it kinda makes some modeler profiles sound more natural at least with NAM as most of the captures seem to have a "farty" quality to their low end response. It achieves quite "Yngwie" like overdriven sound for leads when pushed almost to the max, like the DOD Preamp 250 that Yngwie used on his early recordings. Wish I would have a real Marshall Plexi to try it with and drive it with.
>ts808
>drive 0
>tone cranked
>level cranked
imagine needing more
Not enough on the clean channel. Run that shit into the red channel and we are cooking.
Prob OCD

Same
I made my own distortion pedal for like 10$. Its such a simple design, no one should be paying much for it

T-Rex Mudhoney.
ive used a bearfoot honey bee OD for the past decadeish and it is lovely. definitely on the subtle side like a tube screamer
What's the point in asking this same question every week?
I have one of those and it sounds killer but it kills my clean tone.. suck the treble out somehow i think i need a buffer
bought a 15$ fuzz pedal that some band was making and selling while touring
Timmy is S+ tier. Everything else is clownshoes.
Only posers use pedals. I have all I need in one item.

Is it possible to connect an aux 3.5 from a Korg Volca to a laptop and use bluetooth headphones?
