Truth is that which, when believed, will benefit you.

Or, as Nietzsche put it, truth is will to power.

objectivity is what the universe knows, subjectivity is what humans know. If objectivity is truth, then truth is what the universe knows.

A mobile army of metaphors, metonyms, and anthropomorphisms—in short, a sum of human relations which have been enhanced, transposed, and embellished poetically and rhetorically, and which after long use seem firm, canonical, and obligatory to a people: truths are illusions about which one has forgotten that this is what they are; metaphors which are worn out and without sensuous power; coins which have lost their pictures and now matter only as metal, no longer as coins.

One of my favorite quotes of Nietzsche’s, beautiful even in translation. Even where I disagree with Nietzsche, he’s still a joy to read. I wish there was more serious discussion about him aside from edgy neo-right-wing influencers liking the seeming ties of his thought to far-right ideology, and just as stupid and edgy posters who can’t see anything of value in Nietzsche and dismiss him as “for edgy young adults.”

It’s either Christianity or there is no truth, in which case you can and probably should double down on local religion as a cope. Those are basically the only 2 options.

People proved gravity was equal to newtons equation. And then it was disproved for einsteins better theory of gravity. What that means is you can prove things that aren’t true.

It wasn't proven though. That's why it's called a theory.

Truth is everything that exists, but there is nothing that does not exist. So we consider truth as it is locally relevant.
