Suffering arises from feeling/thinking you are separate being from universe. Once you realize you are not separate you stop suffering.

To realize that "suffering" is its own meaning, which translates to something like "this is wrong".

It's sort of like if someone tells you something illogical. Like 1+1=3, you get a sense of "wrongness".
Well pain and suffering is your SOUL's knowing that there is "wrongness".

This is how the trick of the Matrix works. Your soul needs to see the error in order to learn so it can create a better reality with no error.
But we're taught as children that the feeling you get when your soul learns something is "wrong", is called "pain" and we're taught it's just an arbitrary feeling that you should ignore because it's unpleasant.
So when you ignore that pain you prevent your soul from LEARNING. And it stagnates in the same ignorance that the pain came from.
