      really depends on what you ascribe to. for me personally I think Steven Skinner covers multiple topics and history at an academic level.

    That is rather a subjective question and depends on so many things.
    Are you looking for fact or fiction?
    Which path do you wish to tread?
    For factual tomes, anything written by Alistair Crowley, Madam Blavatsky.
    Lobsang Rampa, though much of his works have been debunked.
    The Black Arts by Rollo Ahmed may be useful.
    For fiction try anything by Dion Fortune or Dennis Wheatley, though his works are tedious to read and you may do better watching the films.
