new lg 27 easily best monitor I ever had

Its not crazy bright but after a little configuration its totally fine, especially with HDR enabled

what about mini LED? Slightly better than IPS due to local dimming zones and no burn in

      CRT

Only the CX is any good and even that has kind of questionable motion performance. All models since are worse.

Maybe they'll improve the BFI for the next set of TVs but if they've already done well on the CX they've worsened it on newer TVs deliberately

                That's what they've done.
None of the new OLED monitors implement this feature either, what a setback for motion clarity...

Just get a qd oled monitor, 3 year burn in warranty = elite pixel response, color volume with infinite contrast. its only like 1k €

Neo g7 is alright for hdr movies and games but its 4k and gpus dont really push that many pixels at 170 fps so 1440p class monitors are better. There is cheaper mini-led monitors coming tho. like coolermaster tempest and others using same display around 500$

Unironically get a small oled/qled tv if you have the desk space and turn off all the smart tv crap

You want a QD-OLED monitor op.

Unironically the motion clarity of QD-OLED makes every other flatpanel tech look like shit and has more ups than downs compared to CRT outside of that one specific case. On my monitor, the only blur is the blending of the small white windows into bars.

problem is samsung released tvs that are supposedly twice as bright and buying a 1st gen qd oled now might be a regrettable decision

But what about burn-in? I'm looking to move from a fucking TN panel but I want it to last as long at least (4 years of heavy use)

One good way to deal with it would be buying 1 qd oled monitor you use for gaming, media, reading manga etc.

Then another cheap 144hz ips monitor for desktop stuff, reading LULZ and you can just have a black wallpaper up on the oled monitor whenever you're not consuming media with it.
