A lot of Yoko Kanno music of the late 90s/early 2000s is "new age hymn" in style. She said in an interview she specifically made it religious sounding.
"Blue" from Cowboy Bebop is another example. With "Where's Your Messiah" possibly as the line, possibly not.
Origa, known for the GITS SAC openings, and for collaborating with Yoko Kanno, also made a ton of New Age sounding music in a similar vein.
