These two people are right. The majority of Canadian lit is awful and boils down to flowery propaganda. There might be some decent ones out there somewhere, but it's not the message our government wants to reward people for regurgitating.

I'd say there is very little. Stephen Leawiener is good. Those fantasaty novels, I forget the name, are popular.
Non fiction can be decent. Northrop frye, mcluhan, etc.
But very little over all. Can't seek about their French lit. And these days I would avoid it at all costs. 100% gov funded immigrant propaganda
