    Depends what kinda warehouse

I've worked for Amazon 4 times

    Job abandonment every time

    They just keep hiring me

The worst kind is a sort center

    Fulfillment is mid

    Delivery is best IMO

You will lose your mind pretty quickly so you won't have to do it for very long anyways

I rolled out of bed, the sting of yesterday's labor biting at my joints. The behemoth had me. The digital era's post office, but without the charm.
The alarm clock, an old relic beside my phone, blared its disdain for the morning, reminding me of another day of packages, scanners, and miles of walking on the cold, hard floor. I remembered the days when a bottle of cheap booze was enough to drown out the pain. But Amazon, with its wristbands and constant surveillance, had changed the game.
I lit a cigarette, the smoke curling upwards, my own personal protest against the world of automated efficiency. The room was dim, curtains drawn, and there was a brief moment where I imagined a different life.
Dragging on my worn-out shoes, the ones with the sole coming off at the heel, I headed out. The warehouse loomed large against the pale sunrise, an endless labyrinth of shelves, products, and conveyor belts. We were the human components in a machine world, expendable and replaceable.

The fluorescence assaulted my eyes. Rows and rows of us, scanning, packing, moving. Monotony punctuated by the insistent beep of the scanner, the heart rate of this vast organism. We were all sore. Old injuries, new aches, the common thread that bound us.
By midday, my back screamed for mercy. But the packages didn't stop. Prime deliveries, the new priority mail, always urgent, always immediate. No room for mistakes, no room for slowing down.
The day wore on, an endless loop of the same tasks. As I clocked out, the weight of the world seemed a bit heavier, but the day's wages would keep the lights on for another night.
Outside, the sky had turned a deep shade of orange, the world slowing its frenetic pace for a brief moment. I lit another cigarette, took a deep drag, and let the smoke wrap around me. The pain, the monotony, the grind – it was all there. But so was the stubborn will to keep going, to find pockets of freedom in a world that seemed increasingly chained.

If you’re Chad-lite, Amazon wagie girls are easy tier mode. I’ve laid more pipe in an Amazon warehouse than the plumber who built the damn thing.

Only thing that gets annoying are the black people becasue they always do the dumbest shit. Majority of Mexicans are just fat so it pisses me just seeing them.

It's like 14th grade for all the dropouts after their first year of community college (13th grade). Lots of sluts though.

I dunno about amazon but I work for a contact lens manufacturer and the warehouse is a permanent hell. Long work hours with low pay. It converts once capitalists into diehard commies singing l'internationale and blasting l'internationale in the cafeteria with their phones during the short 30 min lunch breaks and 15min tea breaks. The turnover is low because everyone is living paycheck to paycheck. The boomers are also working long hours up here in the office but they seem to be happy. I guess its because they all drive big cars and are paid well.

I did it for 3 months while in between jobs. I did the job where the robot goes to your station and you put stuff on a bin. They had a metric on it

It's hell. shitty. You'll have no energy after work and rinse and repeat. Get a hybrid or remote job. Even 3 months there is rough. If they put you on waterspider then purposely be slow so you get moved.

You get the job 100% garauntee, which is awesome.

The work is unbelievably repetitive and boring, and you’re not allowed to sit which sucks.

It will drive you mad. Time moves VERY SLOW. Unbelievably slow. I still have trauma.

We weren’t allowed phones or mp3 players but others say they are allowed.

Immigrant cliques, some of them have body odour.

The carrot on a stick is one share of Amazon stock per year.kkagk2
