Its a barren wasteland where nothing can prosper or grow. There is no value or worth. You should just stay out.

There is nothing we do. Please stay away.

These losers are attempting to sound sarcastic in order to downplay their poor geographic value, but what they said is actually true. Nothing happens there; well maybe except inbreeding.

      >They'll be nothing..you hear? Nothing lives there, nothing grows. You'll eat your shoes again..you'll eat worse!

I'm originally from southeast Kentucky (Florida now). I guess you fags can ask me something.

I would say the area was comfy AF growing up (in the 80s), I wouldn't have it any other way. Just after high school, pills came along & fucked it good.

Don't want too many people going to my favorite spot, it's near shavers fork, almost directly north from bald knob

I know where that is. Well, I've never really hiked around Bald Knob but I took the train up.

You know what, it was rude of me to not provide at least a reference. I made this map to keep track a while back, good spot is in the black circle

Where do you park? Also what are the red X's?

Stuff like spare gear in case something gets lost or wears out. I usually stay in this area, i know it well so i'm generally pretty safe hiking solo

Are you like itinerant or something? I looked and you could park on forest road 235 and walk over there. Is there anything up there like a view of shavers fork or something or just a place you like to camp. Ever been to Briery Knob?

Nice scenery, plenty of suitable campsites, rarely ever see anyone, easy access to the river and game if you're a chad and hunt your own food. it's probably more sentimental than objective, but i've just always felt comfortable in the area.

Lots of winter camping opportunities, it can be very enjoyable and refreshing to spend a week alone in the woods with no contact with the outside world.

      Any personal recommendations for where?

This area is very good, far away from anything else so you wont have to worry about noise polution or having a fellow camper intrude on you.

Well long ago, maybe 40 or 50 years ago up here in the grand canyon of PA an Indian man was said to emerge ever couple of years with piles of gold. Nobody ever knew where he went during the day or throughout the year but everytime he came back into town he would have gold he was trying to sell. Then one year people stopped seeing him. Nobody knows what happened to him.
