this. and hipster shit started with scene fags buying all their clothes in thrift store.

This is actually false. Most emos moved into the elctronic/EDM neo-summer of love scene. Hipsters were largely alt/indie kids who detested the emo scene. Emo was largely born out of a more 'mid-west' middle American anti-suburban culutre. Hipsterism was much more metropolitan. It's why Portlandia has nothing to do with emos--because Portland types hated it. Why? Because hipsters are, by and large, wealthier than emos. Emos are usually middle income, hipsters generally have more wealthy parents. It's why they were smarty to bypass a very popular trend which had harder sexual/social selection due to saturation.

      It got old.
Everything gets old and cringe after a while.
In 10 years, 2023 will seem cringe too.

And this is really the key. It got too commercialized. You could walk into any store at the time and by like an emo costume--in any Western country. When something is commercialized it's passe and people have to move on to be cool. That's why they went to the more edm/festival garbage because it was more conspicuous costume-wise. Whereas hipsters stand out like a sore thumb.

someone make a biography on emo subculture. would sell big. netflix wtf you doing

It was almost an entirely white sub-culture. They would never do it because it would make the idea that white people can congregate and segregate popular. They'd only attack it from 'white music being uninclusive angle' even though blacks hated it, and those that didn't (KSE) could thrive if talented.

Most troons were born out of gaming and internet sub-cultures of recluses. Emos were generally faux-shy ultra extroverted types. But, emo undoubtedly paved the way for it to be socially acceptable with its homosexualry. But hair metal fags had been doing the same if not worse for years so it's always funny when the older generation who go

Thankfully it died out when the sensible emos realised most of the emo girls were mentally damaged whores, and a lot of the guys grew up and went either punk or metalhead.

Also israelites didn't like emo because only whites were gravitating to it and some of the music was starting to talk about the same sort of things that got punk comercialized and destroyed by the end of the 80's/early 90's.

Dyed hair and facial piercings are no different from tight leather pants, teased hair, rock icons wearing womens blouses and all kinds of gay shit that existed before commercial hair dye and facial piercings were socially normalized. Go back to Kiss and Led Zeppelin. I mean their fans were wearing gay ass tight leather jeans and wearing make-up. I love Kiss btw, but rock has always been a israeli degenerate anti-social norms anti-gender norms tool for people to get laid and music executives to get rich. That's why I love the music but wouldn't care if it never existed. The electric guitar and its consequences have been a disaster for the white race. I mean look at picrel. Look how fruity this nagger is.

These two anons mention how it abruptly ended. There wasn't exactly a seamless transition into indie/hipster or any variant of. Emo and scene were relatively similar in looks (Not prehistoric emo. Fuck off Parkway fans. We're not talking about you) so the evolution was barely noticeable. Once hipster came around, it's as if someone said "Alright. Party is over. Simmer down.."

If hipster didn't become a thing, emo/scene would have still continued for about five or even ten more years or at least transition into something relatively similar. The closest true evolution that wasn't hipster would have been some sort of punk variation on the lines of crust or perhaps a raver candi kid with a furry-fandom aesthetic.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. 90% of emo/scene kids/adults never liked the music. It was just a way to get laid, because people found emo girls to be cute, and especially young. Guys wanted teen pussy. Girls wanted youthful guys like in an anime or rock band. The music some claim to like isn't because the music was good, it's just that the parties and good make out sessions usually had that shit playing in the background. Also, back then, if you did it during young adulthood, it was guaranteed to get you MILF pussy if you went out drinking with teased hair.

Emo was never a movement a culture or a counterculture. There's no such thing as emo music. Emo was literally just a fashion trend. Punk rock was a movement punk rock was music punk rock lives on. Metal was a movement metal is a type of music metal moves on. Hell even goth is still a thing cuz there is goth music and there is a goth culture. Emo has none of that it's just a look it's just fashion without any sort of foundation behind it that's why emo disappeared so quickly.
