What happened to Google? A decade ago they were the company that every college student wanted to join with new, successful products regularly and now they are the sick man of big tech well on there way to becoming the new IBM with flop after flop + falling behind hard on AI to the point that the technology they made is cucking them by other companies doing it better.
Moot left.
Moot joined Google.
Who?
The luggage lad
They changed their hiring to bottom of the barrel normies instead of autists.
the founders left, the became way more profit-driven, and they break their core tenet of "don't be evil" over and over
they litterally changed their slogan just so people wouldn't be on their case about this.
It's been like that the moment the company became public. If they weren't in it to make profits in the first place they would have just kept running as private.
It got pajeeted.
>the eleventh frame
good lord, man
These types of images are, bar none, the best outcomes of AI image generation.
pretty sure their traditional core business of making people buy stuff they don't need is running better than ever
>pretty sure their traditional core business of making people buy stuff they don't need is running better than ever
But enough about apple
>hired more and more poojeets
>eventually get poojeet ceo
>company turns into designated shitting company
thats what happened
They discarded "don't be evil" and evil moved in.
Nobody takes them seriously anymore because of this: https://killedbygoogle.com/
>just buy a lock-in into this SaaS trash we're going to kill in a couple of years anyway, and then you have to do all of your integration work from zero again
WTF? Did Google straight up rug their users?
This seems like something the FTC/SEC should get involved in.
Why wouldn't they just sell these or spin off? Each seems like a meme tier company that could be acquired or even run on it's own (domains).
Pajeet takeover. No one wants to smell curry and poo regardless a six fig salary
kek at my company we had
>the toilet paper bandit
>signs reminding to flush the toilets
I realize this might come across as a /misc/monkey's screed despite my best attempts but trust me, they made a colossal mistake by 1. hiring, 2. coddling, 3. elevating white liberals (using the American connotation of that word). These people petitioned Google leadership to cancel contracts with the Department of Defense because >muh Iraqi babykillers. People within the company were getting cancelled left and right over microaggressions - two of them even tried to do it to Jeff Dean (look up Timnit Gebru). Since these people are neurotic by nature, they're all AI doomers, and they're a drag on AI development within the company because they force people to triple check everything lest some marginalized group gets offended and sues the company. This has actually been confirmed in leaked memos.
Nobody who cares about their craft wants to work with such people, so all the talent has left the company. What's left are hall monitors and people sticking around for the giant paycheck.
>American connotation
Just say Democrats.
>American connotation
why is "liberal" such a retarded definition and oftentimes completely unliberal? Its so bad that "libertarian" in America is what liberal is anywhere else in the world.
Anarchists and libertarians are the same thing. That's the fundamental thing people don't get.
>Anarchy is the same thing g as Libertarianism
That's wrong, you dense motherfucker.
Holy shit, it's like the stupid antifa kids running around in designer skinny jeans, filas, gauge piercings, tattoos, and aeropostale shirts thinking they're informed, well-adjusted individuals because they read a buzzfeed article minging over having to pay taxes when that ill-earned money can be going towards better investments like pot and taco bell meal boxes.
>Anarchists and libertarians are the same thing.
The word "anarchist" describes people with very different ideas than is commonly understood by "libertarian". Don't try to understand it. Language is funny thing
It's because their to parties switched places on the political spectrum.
The democrat party used to be the more right wing "liberals" and the republicans the more left wing "socialists".
When they switched places they kept calling the democrats "liberals" and since they have no other reference points Americans assume "liberal" must mean left wing.
It's a step before that, but basically allowing white liberal women in HR will lead to your company being enshitened. This always happens, and this-
>they made a colossal mistake by 1. hiring, 2. coddling, 3. elevating white liberals
That can only occur because HR takes over hiring, and therefore takes control of company culture by setting the tone.
Changing the definition of words to set a certain tone is a common practice here. It's why when I hear about someone in negative terms, I think long and hard about who said it and what they actually mean. I started doing this back in 2001 or so, when people threw the term islamaphobia around, as though people were genuinely afraid of the religion of peace. Ignore the words, focus on the deeds and the money. See which direction the money flows and who says what, and you quickly find that the words getting thrown around do not match their dictionary definition.
>Happens to all large companies eventually
It is a choice. People have been taught not to gate-keep by those that gate-keep themselves. Gate-keeping serves a valuable purpose. If you let anyone walk up in a place, then at some point someone undesired will start acting like they own the place.
>AI is making avant garde gourmet goyslop
Google became an establishment center
The hired a McKinsey consultant as CEO. They got exactly that they wanted.
Also the average Google is a midwitted diva who doesn't work hard
How to divamaxx? I'm now in a situation where loud quitting (loudly doing nothing) is to my advantage.
find something to complain about at work and do that instead of working
Yeah, they got shit, but their inertia is colossal.
its the same thing with IBM, makes tons of money but completely stagnant
>that every college student wanted to join
You had to be a naive college student that never worked a real job to believe that things like free meals, laundry service and even bridges to connect their buildings above roads were for your benefit and not just a gimmick to spend more time in the office and work extra unpaid overtime.
In fact, anyone I knew that ended up working for Google usually were those who had only been to college. A PhD that never had a real job for long was seen as a plus because it meant an even bigger ego and less understanding about the real world having spent so much time in Academia.
When you actively recruit from a pool of such people it creates a pretty insufferable environment. But none of that matters so long as the cash cows can still be milked. It's the golden handcuffs that get people to stay there.
they got buck broken by amazon in cloud, microsoft in AI, and apple in everything else
It's shrimple
>Removed "Do no evil" from their motto
>Start doing evil
>What happened to Google?
Utterly toxic internal culture driven by the need to release new products instead supporting existing ones, with intermittent bolts of lightning from the blue^W^W^W from the executive suite to kill things off immediately. Nowhere does actually doing what users and/or customers really want ever figure into any of it.
Everything else follows from that.
Apathy and arrogance
Google was created by engineers, but then marketeers took over.
Happens to all large companies eventually.
They stopped hiring whites and became explicitly anti-white.
founders went a holiday, appointed a ceo without any technical background to just keep the board happy and print ad money while they ski in the bahamas or something. Now money printer is drying up (low interest rates end), and people are becoming smarter about blocking ads. Somewhere along the way all the experienced people left, they hired MBAs and too many project managers, and the culture became one that valued the appearance of getting shit done rather than actually getting shit done. So people started launching projects just to get promo and leaving some poor new hire to hold the bag on maintenance, and no surprise it gets shut down within a year. Rinse and repeat, all the experienced people wised up and left. So now they're at a point where they don't have the engineering skills to maintain a project for longer than 1 year, they've lost the ability to create anything novel, and their ad money is going to dry up in the next decade. Basically the whole house of cards is going to come down.
just hire more tyrones and javiers, problem solved
>Everyone just loves Sundar Pichai
>Servant leader
>HE GETS PROGRAMMERS!!!!
>Product managers are in love with Sundar
They actually ran some kind of psyop PR campaign with forbes or some shit with quotes like this.
I am befuddled at how the google founders got duped because they were known for being kind of ruthless autists and chewing people out
>I am befuddled at how the google founders got duped because they were known for being kind of ruthless autists and chewing people out
where can i learn more about this
just ask them
the google lads? whats their email
They didn't get duped, sundar's doing exactly what they appointed him to do: not rock the boat and keep printing money so they can fuck off in the bahamas. Google won't be around in another decade because of it, but why would they care.
got too big
Eric Schmidt left
pretty sure those founding yiddish lads disappeared because they wanted some other rube like Altman to be the CEO canary in the coalmine for a rogue AI.
Too many Indians not enough chiefs (white)
