Bank teller.
Found my niche, pay is better than warehouse, weekends off, there's promotion opportunities that aren't management if that interests you, you get to tell people you work in finance.
Downsides include if you fuck up you might not just get fired you could get sent to federal prison.
>Bank teller.
Might do this. Got any other advice for people who want that job?
Get plenty of sleep and wake up early, like 3-4 hours before your shift. Do some light exercises and brain puzzles/play chess something. You have get circulation in your body as you'll be sitting for a long time and your brain needs to be sharp. Also buy fake cash and practice counting at home for 2 months as well as keep a basic arithmetic routine.
Going to emphasize again, practice practice practice even after you get hired so you can count FAST. You're going to need to triple check every transaction to make sure you're accurate, counting it back multiple times which requires proficiency/dexterity. Trust no one. Smile, that's it. Getting into a chatty-cathy's small talk can fuck you up when you're starting out. Treat EVERY patron like a convict and be on the lookout for assholes with false checks.
honestly this is no different from being a cashier except you don't have to deal with retail nonsense
LOL A cashier presides over $200 in his register daily. A bank teller presides over $1500-2500 or more depending on rank daily. It's a whole different ball game. I've seen former cashiers quit on the first day dozens of times.
I used to move over 7k in cash some days, but sure. Tellers dont even have a register to worry about, the machines count for them.
i would have like 3k in my drawer at Mcdonalds some nights when i worked on the Strip.
you can't rob those, you'll be booty blasted by 4 security guards before you reach the street.
look up kneesovertoesguy. Hes got videos on treating chronic pain in the knees, ankles, elbows, shoulders, and everything else. In case you are developing back pain or have it.
my chronic lower back pain has been solved by heavy deadlifting and squatting, apparently if your lower back area is too weak it's gonna hurt
>best wageslave job
Fisherman. Definitely
how do you get into wageslave jobs on boats? i want to wage on a boat
my cousins do this in Alaska. too bad im estranged from them now.
i think the best wageslave job is working part time at some fuck boy burger joint, no more than 20-25 hours a week, then on the side you do Uber Eats and deliver the slop you make part time.
with that your income stays "good enough", assuming you aren't trying to have a family and be a consoooomer.
also with that, if you lose the part time job for whatever reason, you're already doing the deliveries and you can pick up another part time fast food job 2 weeks later.
these people are hiring like crazy and hiring any autistic person that shows up.
also not all fast food jobs are identical. some of them you get no breaks, while breaking your back and some of them you do nothing the entire time but get paid the same.
operator at a unionized grain processing facility is pretty comfy. honestly even bricklaying isn't too bad if you can find a union
>brick layer
they still make buildings with brick? wow.
a lot of the work is restoring older buildings and rich people's houses. some of it is just doing veneer.
yep, figured. that does sound comfy ngl. sounds better than installing floor carpentry. there's too many fucking corners and cuts and bullshit.
How old are you and how much education are you willing to do?
I've been thinking of becoming a night shift security guard
>my mom works at a hospital
>can easily put in a word for me
>my mom just says they just walk around during the night in an empty hospital
My dad wants me to be an electrician, he had a friend that was a high school fuck up but he makes a ton of money. All I have to do is take a couple months for classes.
Electrician is not a trivial thing to get into, especially union. Probably tougher than a business degree or some shit.
i know an electrician. he can be that and somehow has time for a wife, a kid and can raid on WoW Classic.
some people are just built diff.
Damn, sounds pretty good.
are you the anon who made a thread asking about what is like working in security?
No, but it seems like security guard is pretty popular for neets and a low risk moderate paying job for fuck ups
neet here, i think the best job would be one which pays best, meaning i don't have to work full-time or can take long brakes. Where i live (Poland) people do that by working in the west for a few months- 12 hours a day 7 days a week, living like rats, but then live like kings the rest of the year
i'll try to get a trucker's license and work in the west too.
night shift at front desk in a hotel
pros: 2-3h of sleep every shift, free food, nice tips (with an option to dupe people into paying the rack rate, putting the profit into your pocket), you're not workibg alone and can ba covered up
cons: biorhythm fucks up eventually, the job is repetitive and may be exhausting if the place is lively and popular, gotta stay in touch after the shift ends in case some red tape shit pops up, probably not worth it if you can't embezzle some money (however, my country has no tip culture, so tips will probably make it up for you)
I am right now a Jannie at Walmart. It sucks. But they pay for college 100% so it's temporary
Security guard. You're just alone in the middle of the night and usually don't have to interact with other people.
So far, honestly my retail job. I started in January of 2020 and got on pretty well, the crew was great and even when all that memevid shit happened we were operating like a well oiled machine. Hell I even got into management in a little over half a year, then moved up some more in 2021. Corporate did what it does best though and utterly ruined it, I left last November because I was getting that tired of their wannabe walshart asses, but before all that started, shit I actually kind of looked forward to going to work for the most part even when I was some basic bitch stocker. The people you work with can honestly make or break the entire experience, and that was living proof of it for me. This is probably the last thing anyone here expected but whatever. It was a local, regional chain instead of one of those super big and widespread places.
t. getting into accounting now, A/P/A/R to start
