            And it's still half-assed.

Controversial take but I'd say equatorial guinea.

Little known African nation is ethnically 80% Fang but the Fang only moved there in the 19th century, having migranted down from cameroon along with other Bantu groups. #

the oringal inhabitants of this area were the Pygmy peoples, such as the Beyele and the Bokuign who now much up less than 1% and aren't even considered human and forced to live in the jungles.

In some parts of Africa the pygmies are considered to be 'bush meat' and are hunted and eaten. https://www.scotsman.com/news/world/pygmies-are-hunted-and-eaten-congo-2513231

WTF. The native americans and australians were treated like shit but nobody was fricking eating them like animals. The bantu expansion and it's consiquence were a disaster for the indigenous peoples of the interior.

            >In some parts of Africa the pygmies are considered to be 'bush meat' and are hunted and eaten
Not that was only the Congo during war and everyone got eaten, not just Pygmies. Cannibalism during war wasn't really uncommon in the region as a threat tool.

            >The native americans and australians were treated like shit but nobody was fricking eating them like animals

Bolivia and most of south america honestly, indigenous peoples were deprived of their historical territories, displaced, given no legal benefits or ownerships over basically anything, often introduced into farms for some landlords as cheap illiterate pawns provided with no education working for scraps into someone else property, Either that or simply displaced to shit lands where subsistence was not possible.
Those that weren't were absorbed into the general population and became the lowest classes, to the extent now they live in favellas with precarious housing, extreme poverty and more often than not lack of access to basic services and food. Those that were not absorbed live isolated without access to clean water even.

Poverty on the reservations is one of the most egregious and lasting failures in America, but nowadays it is less due to white posses on horseback and more due to systems created in the 60s and 70s by well meaning progressives. The "native" bodies they created routinely steal and misappropriate grants and nothing is done because the failure is too inconvenient for all involved to shed light on. Ordinary natives end up tightly controlled with little power, kept delusional and demoralized by a well orchestrated propaganda network that views them as a vote on 2 legs.

    >stolen land broken promises
The same people screeching about things that happened decades or centuries ago are oppressing them in the present, and a good number are "1/16 Cherokee" types. It goes to show the power of leftist propaganda. Saul Alinsky's strategies were not for the oppressed and downtrodden. I'm still waiting for some native driven group to go around the country exposing all the corruption and make news, but this never happens, I assume because they still view their "elders" as heroes despite their sordid activities and those that make it out the ghetto with the wherewithal to do this forget where they came from.

    >oil pipelines
It usually has nothing to do with the environment. The threat of protests is usually an attempt to elicit bribes from oil companies and grants from the government, barely any of which trickles down. It's a racket and protestors don't even realize they are just a bargaining chip.

The root of this of course is the committee. Rather than own their own land and make decisions as individuals, everything has to go through committee or put to a vote by a broken people. It is a much more pronounced microcosm of the problems that affect democracy as a whole, perhaps an ideological incentive to defend the corruption and hush it up, but in the end it makes democracy weaker and translates into real life poverty and decrepity.

It's still perfectly legitimate. Also blood quantum is a thing forced upon natives as well as the sheer reality that many Natives mixed with whites because the alternative was either inbreeding or a very small partner pool. It's why you see both Native males and females marrying otuside the tribe.

        >Also blood quantum is a thing forced upon natives

I mean, if we're talking about race, what other means of quantifying it are there? There has to be a certain cutoff point where someone 'counts' as a member of a race, otherwise there's no definition and literally anyone can claim to be that race

          Anonymous

Because race is not the only way to identify with a group lol. Not to mention many different ethinc groups of the natives often combined due to population loss and disease so even the "pures" aren't exactly pure.

I'd say the Japanese with how they treat the Ainu
    >Historical texts refer to the people as Emishi literally meaning "shrimp barbarians"
    >Active contact between the Japanese and Ainu began in the 13th century, with the Ainu still existing as hunter-gatherers.
    >Centuries of being conquered by the Japanese and Chinese, forced marriage of their women to govt officials, etc
    >In the Edo period the Japanese govt's trade monopoly with the Ainu inspired a sort of Beaver War situation that was aggravated by a smallpox epidemic
    >For 7 straight years under the shogun's direct control the Ainu were brutalized: men sold into slavery to ((merchants)) and women forcibly raped/married to Japanese men
    >State mandated policies of enforced family separation and assimilation with Japanese culture
    >Ainu territory was formally annexed in the 1870s with legislation outright erasing their history as indigenous people, now being considered "former aborigines"
    >Their culture/religion/heritage was being destroyed and censored by the Japanese well past the end of WW2; forced monoculturalism
    >Only formally recognized by the Japanese government as an indigenous group in 2019; but still completely memory-holed by most Japanese officials
You got to give the Western colonizers credit: they at least acknowledged the people they were fricking over were there first.

Australia's worst in the Anglosphere, the dominant experience in the US and Canada was reservations on shit land (and occasional genocides, especially if they resisted) but Aussies treated them like wild animals.

The Aussie constitution originally let Whites and Maori vote (because they were trying to convince New Zealand to join) but not Aboriginals. And this in 1900, and with no fiction of "autonomous nations" to justify it either.

I don't know Latin America as well, and gathered it varied wildly from region to region, but the treatment of Amazonians seems comically evil.

I'd say how those two treated the many indigenous who did comply or were more assimilated with white mainstream cultre with the state being more fricked up. The five civilized tribes basically got their asses ruined and displaced.

    >What country treats its indigenous population the shittiest?

Either Australia or the Congo. Both for similar reasons.

I say Australia because unlike other instances of Colonizers being mean or fricked up to their Indigenous populations: the Aborigines truly did nothing wrong. The Abo's were (are), a Neolithic, placid & harmless people who's only crime was being stupid and absent minded. The Aussies initially killed them for simply getting in the way; Abo's stole livestock, crops, they like sleeping on roads, etc.. But by the Aussie's own volition they quickly escalated their cruelty when they began to genuinely despise the Abo for their weakness.

The Congolese meanwhile just never saw the Indigenous Pygmy as people. Period. Some of them still don't. Too many of them saw them as kind of talking animal and saw no moral ambiguity with enslaving them, hunting them for sport (you could literally hire a local guide to hunt Pygmies until I think 1976), or even eat them as bushmeat.

    >US
Lel literally the best treatment of natives out of all of the nations in the Americas. Read about the history of Spanish-America, both before and after the independence of whatever nation you please. American "mistreatment" gets overhyped because of muh noble savage and muh discrimination. There were barely any natives in what is now the present-day United States at the time of the arrival of Columbus, and most were wiped out by disease. Actual genocide in American history is largely confined to specific areas and eras, and doesn't compare to the history below the Rio Grande in the same time periods.
