get raped by my stepdad when im 12 and then have manipulative behavioral patterns including dressing like a boy and attempting to date girls until i end up marrying an abusive guy with a dadbod then have an alcoholic breakdown at age 32 and heck up my 2 children from two different dads and then struggle and get sober at 35 and start reconnecting with the girl when she is 16 and the boy because he is still only 12

    Male perspective.
I like to exaggerate masculine and feminine features equally to keep a nice balance.
For me that means long hair, often braided, mascara for my long lashes, well fitting trousers to draw attention to my small waist and large ass, dainty hebrewelry including earrings and a slender frame with thin wrists and ankles.
While at the same time having big arms and back, keeping a beard, having body hair, wearing masc clothes like big jackets, suits, waistcoats, milsurp and boots.
Thanks to dancing a also walk with a lot more hip sway than normal for men.

        >Gay?
I don’t think so. I have flirted with a bunch of men but I have never met someone I was really interested in. Never say never, but I have only dated women.

        You sound very annoying..

        >You sound very annoying..
Yeah. I am pretty sure that I’m very annoying for most people. It’s fine though. I know who I am and don’t even try to appeal to a large group of people in the first place. I’m content with the amount of friends and romantic opportunities I get.

        >I’d argue most of the work is in the face/hair
        In what sense?
My hair is already 3inches, aiming for 6+
face though, what do I do?

        >face though, what do I do?
        I vote beard.

            >wouldn’t make me look more (tastefully) smooth/feminine
Are you aready extremely masculine looking? Or why do you only want to increase how feminine you look?

            >Are you aready extremely masculine looking?
            yes
            >why do you only want to increase how feminine you look?
Because I want to look pretty UwU

    Genuine question;
If you have someone who is male, 6ft2, broad shoulders, muscular and facially masculine.
What do could he do to look more (tastefully) androgynous?
Is it even possible without looking silly?

By androgynous you mean feminine. Say feminine.

Everyone who uses "androgynous" is weirdly afraid to say feminine.

    >No, I’m not.

Then start using it since it’s what you mean and it’s what I always see meant.

Ugly and androgynous are two different things
No one would ever in a million years hesitate to call this a woman.
Androgynous has to approach a blurry line between masculine and feminine

          >Androgynous has to approach a blurry line between masculine and feminine
any thoughts on how a masculine-built male does that?

          • Anonymous says:

            Become less masculine built.
Lose weight and muscle. Be clean shaven. Grow your hair out long and keep it silky smooth. Fill out your eye browns and use foundation to smooth your skin. Use boxy fit clothing to hide your shape.

            No problem!
It certainly could, especially if the other steps were already taken. I focus more on making your nails and hair healthy before diving into things like nail painting. Most males who want to be androgynous fail to achieve the look because they seek out quick solutions like nail paint and heavy make up while their hair is dry and frizzy, they haven’t lost weight and they haven’t waxed their facial hair. So they just end up looking like a glitter beard gay instead

            I completely agree.
I have been taking care of my nails/skin/hair for ages now and most guys are terrible at doing so.
Yeah, lots of ‘quick solitions’ that just look terrible lol.

This anon is right. If u add any muscle or fat it’ll appear in a sex-differentiating way and hurt the cause. I feel like boxy clothing usually makes u look paradoxically more masc as you kinda fill the room out better than women do.
Re:hair I think u need more than just growing it out, getting a more fem cut (ie something choppy/layered) goes rly far too.
A lot of it tho is genetic luck and being young I think. As u age u will age like a man and androgyny will eventually escape you, unless you are very lucky.

Accentuate the features typically associated with the opposite sex, downplay the ones associated with your natal sex. If you’re intersex then you’re probably already there lol

Can this even work with someone very masculine in body?

          Would having larger legs work?
I could just under-dose my upper body training
Idk if people actually percieve larger (muscular) legs as effeminate or not

          • Anonymous says:

I mean it depends on what kind of androgynous you’re going for. I’d argue most of the work is in the face/hair. Having a larger lower body compared to the upper body could help, just don’t t-rex mode y’know?

Makeup contouring maybe, beard concealment, idk, depends on your face structure n stuff. I think mascara always works, even if only to add some extra pop.

Damn, and I though you were going to say skincare or something.
I think I’ll just keep clean-shaven, well-groomed and moisturised lol.

Laser hair removal and estrogen/anti-androgens? I don’t know, there is a sort of hard coded genetic barrier that prevents most people from pulling off this look of having a possibly feminine yet well defined yet youthful face.
