Not particularly informed on the theology or w/e but the undercurrent of genuinely fascist freaks like Vermeule, Ahmari, and the other integralists who think people’s “inauthentic desires” can/should be “replaced” by those in power makes me not want to touch it with a 30-mile pole

Okay, a maximisation individual autonomy would result in something like purely unrestricted freedom of association which would entail businesses or institutions explicitly excluding transgender or sexual minorities. I imagine you would find this not to your liking when a grocery store or a police station or a hospital tells you to get lost because of your identity. The truth is everyone believes in coercive limits on human behaviour enforced by society (which is a good thing).

Why would it be allowed for private businesses to exist if we're maixmising individual autonomy? Surely you mean democratic worker co-ops? And why would we allow these hypothetical private tyrants to limit the liberty of others just because theyre trans? What you describe is the abolishing of personal autonomy.

catholics are massive hypocrites. judgmental as frick but will be as loose, alcoholic, and sinful as the people they criticize.

I was raised catholic so I know the hypocrisy. I am just appalled by the image, not jealous of them or anything because I'm a boymoder and I'll never find myself in those clothes. I never go to church but when I do (once a year thing) I fully cover myself up more than a nun from head to toe.

Also there was at catholic signer of the declaration of independence

Catholicism is shit. There is no reason to be a Catholic after the Reformation. Protestantism has addressed all of the pitfalls of popery, freed the faith from neo-Pharisaic legalism, idol worship, unbiblical doctrine, abuse of power, etc. Luther saved the church.

i grew up in a hardcore tradcath family. it was ok i guess. growing up i was very devout up until the troony thoughts hit me around 14.
things happened, they weren't good. wanted to transition much earlier in life but never got the chance. wound up a repressor after some nasty stuff happened.

i will never forgive the catholic church for what they took from me.
