It's kind of like Christianity where a lot of followers think the occult and magic and the supernatural etc outside of what's described in the bible is evil, and a lot of them think it's not. Which kind of invalidates the whole religion really in my opinion if they can't even agree on such a basic rule for something that's supposedly the law of the universe

If Christianity went away and Islam remained then I don't think anything would really change at all for non religious people
According to the Quran Allah wont allow that and doesnt demand that. And according to Islamic escathology it will happen only after Jesus the real prophet of Allah defeats the false prophet.
The Quran is the source.
There are many verses that say non believers will exist til the end of time.
On the other hand there exists no verses that say the world is meant to become one nation of believers.
>11:118 >Had your Lord so willed, He would have certainly made humanity one single community ˹of believers˺, but they will always ˹choose to˺ differ— >11:119 >except those shown mercy by your Lord—and so He created them ˹to choose freely˺. And so the Word of your Lord will be fulfilled: “I will surely fill up Hell with jinn and humans all together.”
>16:93 >Had Allah willed, He could have easily made you one community ˹of believers˺, but He leaves to stray whoever He wills and guides whoever He wills. And you will certainly be questioned about what you used to do.
>16:93 >Had Allah willed, He could have easily made you one community ˹of believers˺, but He leaves to stray whoever He wills and guides whoever He wills. And you will certainly be questioned about what you used to do.
I realize nothing quite compares to Allah >can guide all humans >doesnt want to >honestly wants to torture some humans instead
the sun rises and the sun sets. what will happen under the sun has happened for thousands of years, and perhaps more to come. Mothers die and leave their children behind, children die before their parents time, and strife still resides within the hearts of man. In time, when all men turn back to their creator, a light will reside alongside that strife. From darkness emerges the light, and from pain comes compassion.
>2:98 >Whoever is an enemy of Allah, His angels, His messengers, Gabriel, and Michael, then ˹let them know that˺ Allah is certainly the enemy of the disbelievers.
spiritual ramifications? Suppose people might pray more often.
Practical ramifications? Women would dress more modestly, cousin marriage will become more common. Not bad at all
Honestly, seems fine to me. As long as we can get them to accept multiplanetary expansion, I'm cool with Islam surpassing christianity globally

Source? Do you have references for that?
