      >you’re somehow still thinking in brands

      why shouldn’t he?
richfags don’t all stop buying brands and only go to savile row.
they’re all buying off-the-rack branded crap as well, besides dudes that are both rich and really into bespoke.

This topic again. Depends on the celebrity and the occasion. Loro Piana and Brioni etc are a niche interest and not everyone would care about this stuff, especially Americans. If they’re not attending some formal setting where dressing up is a requirement, they could be very well be wearing 10 year old rags with holes in them for comfort. Not like they need to impress anyone. Here’s a picture of billionaire David Geffen on his yacht. He appears to be wearing Nike shorts and Nike sneakers. Geffen is a gay man who made his fortune by being savvy to up and coming cultural trends and tastes. You would figure someone like this would be at least somewhat aware of the realm of fashion, but he he chose to shop at the same place as your neighborhood chavs.

Kiton, Loro Piana, Brioni, Corneliani, John Lobb, Berluti, Boglioli, Drake‘s, Kiton, Brioni, Isaia, Canali, Moorer, Rochas

Brunello Cucinelli, Zegna, Prada used to be, but got discovered by the noveau riche crowd

tl;dr very boring very high quality very expensive unbranded stuff

Some super wealthy people go through a reverse ‘old money aesthetic’ phase, taking inspiration from the authenticity of poverty. Ralph Lauren has been known to shop at K Mart and mend old clothes like a dustbowl peasant during the Great Depression.

from what i know, a lot of it is super old heritage brands that the likes of us have never heard of. this is not to say they dont wear any widely known designers, but i wouldn’t say they make up the majority of the average wealthy persons wardrobes. of course, im mostly speaking of the ultra-posh "old money" types. maybe the rich+famous also wear some of that stuff, but as a whole, they seem to be a little more mainstream than those with more family money and less paparazzi. of course, take this with a grain of salt, i dont have any sort of wealth, this is half info that ive picked up on here and there, and half speculation

My dad owns a series of multi-million dollar companies and I just wear Uniqlo and Express most of the time. I am kinda an autistic failiure in my 5th year at university though lmao

A few of the richest guys I know always wear rl. Another one that comes from money wears whatever is the best deal for the quality and wears it til it’s threadbare, he’s too busy figuring out how to secure his great grandkids’ future.

are people really buying $5k off the rack jackets from these brands?
an adjustments tailor isn’t going to magically make it not fit like a cheap prom suit

Can you stop being reddit bugpeople. "How do I trick people by larping as x"

Stop living in clown world logic where they wear the costume and suddenly become the thing they are larping as. Instead of being intrinsically something then it expresses as your aesthetic.

        >I have solidarity with billionaires who think I’m slave cattle
Lmao you’re more embarrassing in this situation.

Yeah and heck all the craftspeople making that stuff too right? Why are you even on a fashion board. Go dress in a potato sack as befits your needs.

If you think those things are valued at the prices they are charging you are also deluded. You are paying for the brand. Not the craftsmanship. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was made fully or partially in China.
